Newnatalie my Doctor did the SAME thing to me. He told me to go home and read as much as I can on the Sleeve! I'm SO GLAD I did! This seems to be a better and safer bet! I'm hoping to be sleeve in December! GOOD luck and stay in touch!!!

WOW this is GREAT news! I still have to go back to the weight management doctor on Dec 2 then wait for the insurance to approve. I'm HOPING to be sleeved in December! I MIGHT get to take the journey with you! I'm GLAD you got your date....can't WAIT for mine!!!

Hey Julie! It's ok to feel hurt but Irene is right...it's ONLY because they don't know you well enough yet. I've been to 9 diffent schools in my life so TRUST me the ALONE feeling HURTS but once they get to know you it will get BETTER. Holiday's are suppose to be a GREAT TIME OF YEAR but when you are away from home and away from your other children it can be a sad time. I would rent some GOOD HOLIDAY MOVIES and just ENJOY your QUITE time with your Husband and Son! Put your Christmas Tree up with your son! Go to a Zoo or a movie. My FAVORITE Thanksgiving was the time I went to the movies for the FIRST time on Thanksgiving and saw POLAR EXPRESS! I mean I NEVER thought about going OUT ON THANKSGIVING but it was SO MUCH FUN! About your weight you are doing FANTASTIC!!! Keep your head up and ENJOY your family time! I will keep you in my prayers!

OH WOW you are a BETTER women then I am. I would have unleashed a can of whoop ass right then and there!!! He would have gotten a GOOD tongue lashing! LOL I am a very VOCAL person! LOL I don't blame you for being hurt!!! Like one of my forums WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE TO BE SO CRUEL!!! I'm sorry this happened to you but you really do need to confront him. I haven't been sleeved yet but I CAN"T WAIT come on DECEMBER!! I DO NOT like how I look now! I WANT to FEEL better! I want to take control of my LIFE!! From what I've been told this Sleeve is a TOOL and it will be up to ME to use it correctly!!! Read the SUCCESS stories out on this website!! I'm SO GLAD I'm not the only one feeling guilty about this surgery! THANK YOU SLEEVE 4 ME for posting. Sitting in church the other day and listening to how we are to respect our bodies because they are our TEMPLE!! I thought OH MY I need to talk to my preacher to make sure I'm doing the right thing. YOU KNOW WHAT....I prayed about it and FINALLY noticed the SIGNS that GOD was already giving me to prepare for this new journey in my life! I LOVED Beer and NEVER thought I would EVER give it up but guess what....about two weeks ago I drank two and they didn't settle right....tried again in a week....same thing...didn't settle right. Don't want to try ANYMORE BEER!! People can think what they want but I BELIEVE God did this for me. pizza is my FAVORITE food....Canadian Bacon with pineapple...OH HOW WONDERFUL it was every Friday night. Well guess what...the last time I ate it...it didn't taste good. AGAIN, I BELIEVE God is helping me get prepared. The FOOD and Drink that was SO IMPORTANT to me or so I thought GOD is helping me DEAL with! Now, some of you may think I'm CRAZY for thinking this but we all believe in what we NEED to believe in. I BELIEVE GOD is behind me 100% all the time!! I'm not perfect and I will make mistakes but I'm trying to LISTEN and SEE the SIGNS he is giving ME!! At first I was SCARED TO DEATH to have this surgery...my husband was againist it my daughter was not happy but GOD helped them too. I can now talk to my Husband about it and he LISTENS.....REALLY LISTENS! My daughter said she prayed about it and now she is at peace with it too! GOD HAS BLESSED ME with finding this website for the SUPPORT that I NEED! I will be SLeeved in December and I CAN'T WAIT!!

OMG I haven't had surgery yet but I better read more about this dumping thing..I heard about it but I better read more. Sorry this happened to you but GLAD you lost the weight!!! Here in Texas we have grocery stores called HEB and they make a lactose free milk that tastes JUST LIKE REAL milk! MOOTOPIA and it is high in protein. I've purchased it for years because my daughter is lactose intolerant and my whole family drinks it. You can't tell the difference.

Kimmes YES I was feeling the same way! LAST SUPPER is what my doctor called it! I haven't been Sleeved yet but one day I was reading about a man that was crying because he couldn't eat his favorite food. It HIT me at that moment I have LET FOOD control me my whole life and it HAS TO STOP! Tiff commented on my forum when I wrote the same thing and she gives GREAT advice!!! Which FOOD FUNERAL is GREAT TIFF!!! I laughed so hard but it is a TRUE feeling. You WILL be able to eat your favorite foods one day just NOT AS MUCH! That is what has stopped me from EATING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!! If you think about it a bite is really all you need to ENJOY the flavor!!! Keep reading on this website because it is the BEST place to be and SO HELPFUL in getting you ready for surgery! I'm HOPING for a December Sleeve...I'm doing the weight management for my insurance right now! GOOD LUCK!

Why do some people have to be so mean? My Mother in law has a problem with over weight people has for as long as I can remember and likes to talk about them. She doesn't do it in front of me anymore but she always makes comments to my husband and her other son. She knows this affects her boys...the one started talking crap about how much his wife eats...my husband FINALLY said, Mom it's his LIFE not yours so don't worry about it! I just don't understand WHY she thinks it's her JOB to tell her boys how FAT someone is getting! It makes me SO MAD!! By the way my husband is COMING AROUND and TRYING to be supportive about my up coming SLEEVE! I can talk to him about it now and he LISTENS. I just told him I NEED HIM and his HELP to succeed...I think the I NEED YOU got him. LOL He told me the other night he is fine with my surgery he just doesn't want his mother to find out. He thinks she will be waiting for me to fail or watching to judge me more and I KNOW HE IS RIGHT! I just don't understand how some people can be so CRUEL!!

WOW WAY TO GO GIRL!!! I don't know you but I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!! ha ha THANKS for sharing your before changes! I'm trying to do the same thing now that I quit eating everything in site. In fact, today I had a Protein shake for lunch(I'm trying different flavors to see which ones I like) I will see how I do for supper now. My weakness is chips and Bread too so you have really opened my eyes to what I NEED to do before my SLEEVE in December! I went out to eat with my daughter last night for Mexican food and choose not to eat the chips with salsa but put the salsa on my meal and that really satisfied my craving and I wasn't STUFFED from too many chips! Reading stories like yours REALLY INSPIRE me! THANK YOU AGAIN for SHARING with us!!!

WELCOME!! MOST of us have been in your shoes....I'm still in them in fact. I hope to be sleeved in December! I'm only telling a few people about my surgery. There are WONDERFUL people here that will be glad to help you through this. They have helped me TONS!!!! The support on this website is UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I'm in the same boat right now just waiting BUT my insurance company is making me do three months with a weight management doctor. I've done my Nutrition class and Therapist evaluation and passed by the way!!! I go to my weight management doctor for the second month on Nov 4 with my last one Dec 2. Then wait again on the insurance. My doctor's office did tell me I have to be on a liquid diet for 2 weeks before my surgery...this is to shrink the liver to make the surgery easier! Good LUCK and you found the RIGHT place for SUPPPORT and INFORMATION!!! My doctors office DID tell me if the insurance is satisfied with my three months then I will have my surgery late December!! I CAN'T wait!!!!

GOD IS GOOD and he does HELP us through our trials! I'm glad you are feeling better. My daughter gave me a cross that says, "WHEN IN DOUBT LOOK UP!!"

My Sister types for doctors and she had the Gastric bypass. When I asked her about the Sleeve she said she wishes she would have done the Sleeve instead of the Bypass. She has had a lot of problems with her bypass....gallstones, kidney stones...leakage and had to be cut open. She has gained a lot back...not as big as she was but she has gained. She had her surgery three years ago. She said the doctors in her area are leaning more for the Sleeve now because of the success they are seeing and less complications. I would suggest you read as much as you can! I'm sure you can google pros and cons! I haven't had my surgery yet but I'm EXCITED to be SLEEVED in December! My doctor told me....He will give me the TOOL to lose weight but it will be up to ME to use it correctly! SO, if you are Sleeved or Bypassed it will be up to you to keep off the weight. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I also had this TALK with my 25 year old. In fact, I wanted to have the surgery last year but she said if I do it she will do it. So I waited and she LOST another 55 last year but over 100 pounds, it took her 2 yrs but she did it! Yesterday she got into her little sisters jeans....now my youngest is upset...it will NEVER end!! LOL Now she said it's not fair but she is OK with me going through with the sleeve. I told her I will have to exercise just like her to get my weight off but I just need some help! GOOD LUCK!

I want to know did anyone save their favorite pair of pants/shorts from before you lost your weight just to put on and SEE THE RESULTS? I maybe crazy but I want to save my favorite pair of capris that I wear all the time. EVERYTHING else will be GONE forever!!! LOL That way IF I have a bad day I can put them on and SEE THE RESULTS. I'm a visual person so I want to SEE RESULTS! I can't wait!!
