Hi everyone!  I decided in July 2008 that I was in desperate need of help in my weight loss journey.  I just hadn't gotten anywhere on my own.  I researched the lap band procedure and became really interested in the process.  My husband and I looked into the information and I also brought my Mom to one of the seminars.  My family was very supportive, I wish I could say that much about my insurance company!  I went through the entire approval process, which took several months.  I was then denied.  I burst into tears!  I was so disappointed!  But then I researched why I was denied and found that it was all due to clerical mistakes on the insurance companies part!  Once they were corrected I was on my way to surgery!I had my surgery on March 23rd, 2009.  The surgery went very well.  I recovered quickly and thought that I was home free.  I really thought this was the solution to all of my weight loss problems.  But today, August 23rd, 2010, I have only lost 37 pounds.  I have gone through so many emotions and had almost given up on myself, but I'm back.  I went in for another fill and a pep talk and now I'm starting over.  This is my journey and I have to start to gain control.  Wish me luck!I'm excited to meet all of you and get help, advice and make new friends along the way.
