Day three of post op...... Surgery was on the 23rd and now I am on day three of healing. It is not that bad at all. I have gas and some soreness around the incision but that is all. I am happy that GOD brought me through this surgery!!

This is day three post op and I am doing well. I am sore but all and all I am okay!! I really thought it was going to be worst... Thank God it is not worst then anticipated. How are you?? How is the weight loss??

My doctor started me out on puree foods right after surgery......

Hey Cara, I am doing well.... The surgery was not as bad as I thought it was going to be!!! I survived. I really was nervous and scared to say the least. I am glad that my mother and girlfriend went with me. I don't think I would have made it on my own. Most of all I am glad that GOD was in control of everything. I am healing well and I only have one incision.... Not much pain at all!! Did you have one incision as well??? Hello new person to our buddy banded group..... Tell us your name and stuff. We would love to get to know you!!! -

I only have one incision..... No scars. -
I was banded on the 23rd of August and I just walk a lot to get rid of the gas and take some chewable gas x. I am sleeping with a pillow on the side of my stomach or on my back.

I had the surgery yesterday and I am home today!! I don't feel bad and the pain is bearable.

I am sore.... I really don't have any gas pains. I walk and walk and walk so that I don't feel gas pains. -
Good Luck.... I go for my surgery tomorrow!!! The liquid is killing me!!! I can not wait to get to stage two.... Puree foods.

August 23rd is my big day and I am still unsure about my decision. I am nervous, scared and afraid of failure. I have been on this site for a year and I have read my negative things then positive about the lap band. I need to lose weight because I have some medical problems. I don't want to get the lap band and develop more medical conditions. I am taking all opinions and any advice... So please speak up one and all!!!

Thank you for sending prayers my way. I taught kindergarten for 10 years and now I am teaching pre k. We need a lot of energy to deal with the early childhood grades.

I will be banded on Tuesday and I am nervous about failing as well. I need to lose weight to be healthy and I am afraid that I did all this work and I may not be successful.

Your story is my fear. I am going to have Surgery on Tuesday and I am afraid that it won't work.... I will be beyond upset if it does not work. I have been researching and looking at the success rate of the lap band and it is not good at all!!! It appears that the lap band is like lottery ticket some win and some lose but you have to be in it to win it...

Congratulations in losing so much weight!!!! I am sure you will lose the next 30 pounds with ease. I will be banded on Tuesday and I am so nervous. How did you know this was the right thing for you??

Okay am being banded on August 23rd and I am nervous as heck!!!! I hope that it works. I don't want to do all of this just to lose 20 pounds and have a massive amount of complications. I am sooooo nervous and scared I don't know what to do!!!

I will be banded on Tuesday August 23rd and I am soooooo nervous. I am more nervous about after the surgery then the Actual surgery. I have researched and took a year to make my decision. So many people complain that it does not work.... I am Afraid of it not Working. I need all the support I can get. -

I am very nervous and scared about the surgery....... Everything is ready to go as far as pre op things and insurance approval. However, I am not ready... I am scared.... So many people have side effects and have to get the band removed. I wonder if I am going to be one of those people. I am glad that you are doing well!!!! I think you will make the right choices when you go out to eat with your co workers. If they ask just let them know you are making healthy choices to keep up with your little ones. They can't fault you about that. I joined Bally"s Gym for one year... It only cost me 239...... that is a great deal. I got it through AFT benefits if you are interested. I go back to walk September 6..... I am not rushing in before that. The students come back to school on September 8th. I don't have many friends in my school.... a lot of the teachers in my school are snobs and we don't get along. So I don't have to worry about any lunch dates. lol My daughter is 13 and my son is 7. My daughter is a dream!!! My son is a handful.... He has ADHD and has reading difficulties. When I talk to my son he knows everything.... He has spent the summer with my parents because he said I am boring. -
They have too........ Go to the hospital. You don't want any problems!!

I will be banded on the 23rd of August. Are you happy with your decision so far??? What kind of post op diet are you on??? I am on a puree diet after surgery. I am on a liquid diet now.
