  1. I use to crush my Vitamins and mix them with liquids, but they all tasted awful to me. Luckily at 6 weeks out you can start taking pills again. So I started taking calcium citrate capsules and switched to Flinstones Complete Multivitamin. So much better!!! I was told the same thing as Lisa - Can't Weight - don't take your Calcium Citrate the same time as your Multi-Vitamin.

    Eating

Yes, the same thing happens to me when I have some ground beef or chicken. Ground turkey (Jennie-O) goes down and feels soooo much better.

    5 days out...hard to drink!

I'm sorry your having a hard time, when I got my sleeve it was 30 ml every 15 minutes. That's the size of a nyquil medicine cap. So you have to sip all day long. I had to set a my phone timer to remember to keep drinking and it helped so much! Good luck!!!!

    For the ladies

I'm right there with Stacy! I've had a IUD in for the past year and a half and I can't be happier, I rarely have a period and when I do its barely anything! I have absolutely no cramping, no weight gain (unlike when I use to take birth control pills) and I've had no side effects. I even got my tubes tied when I got my sleeve done at the end of December and I had my gyno leave the IUD in so I don't have to worry about a period. I love and I mean LOVE my IUD!!!!
  5. You need to call your doctor and let him/her know that it hurts when you sip. But you have to drink or go to the ER and get a drip. The first two weeks are the hardest then it gets so much easier!

    Endoscopy??

I completely agree with Skcunningham. This is totally normal. Your doc wants to look at your tummy. You're put out for a grand total of 10-15 minutes and I too did it on a Saturday. It was totally quick and easy-peazy!

    Toast a slider?

I totally know what you mean! If I eat fish or chicken I fill up sooooo quick and it just sits in my throat which is so uncomfortable, but if I have toast or Jennie-o Turkey, either ground or the cutlets, it does great in my tummy! Weird!

    Surgery Tomorrow...

I was exactly like you. I even posted on here for support because I couldn't stop crying! Your feelings are totally normal, take a nice long walk, have a nice long hot bath and try to relax. Tomorrow at this time, you will be sleeved and your nerves will be so much better. Good luck tomorrow and keep us posted!!! 2 things, make sure you bring chap-stick to the hospital (I used it all the time, it was great) and after surgery my nurses wouldn't let me drink until I had a leak test performed, so just ask to gargle if you get a dry mouth. ***HUGS*** ***HUGS*** you will do great!!!!!!! Cheers - Tiffany
  9. yeah i hate sliming! i've slimed twice now, once when i had that one too many bites of can green beans, and then i had it again the other day with a small portion of rice and sausage bites! the only thing that comes back up for me is just the overwhelming amount of slime lol

  14. I have a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old and I am over 5 weeks out right now. My doctor is a stickler and doesn't want me lifting more than 20 lbs for the first 6 weeks. My 4 yr old knows i had belly surgery and so she doesn't climb on me, but when my 1 yr old wants to play I just sit on the floor with her and then she climbs on me. For the first few weeks I used a pillow over my belly just in case she pushes where she isn't suppose to and that worked out really good.
  15. My doctor told me the same thing as Mommy2girls, only walking for the first 6 weeks. I asked about doing yoga or pilates and he said not until I am 6 weeks out. Next Monday is my 6 week marker, I am looking forward to working out!!!

Make sure you bring slippers and chap-stick to the hospital .... especially the chap-stick! Heating pad is good, but I didn't use one to much.
