After years of dealing with being overweight, I finally started having health issues.  My blood pressure was suddenly through the roof and I was getting dangerously close to pre-diabetes/diabetes.  I have tried multiple "diets" over the years, going to different gyms, and even going to a nutritionist/dietician and nothing worked for the long-term.  When I stated having problems with my back in the fall my doctor suggested looking into the Lap-Band system.  I have been doing all of the pre-op tests and weight loos and now I finally have my surgery date.  I am so excited (and a little nervous), and am very lucky to have a great support system in my family and friends.  I can't wait to start my "after"-life.
