  1. Happy 44th Birthday grigg4!

  2. 1 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 1st Anniversary grigg4!

  3. I think it could depend on if your surgeon put any saline in at surgery - mine did and I didn't even know it. He put in almost 4cc and 9 weeks later added 1.5 to it. I go back in this Friday and hope for a little tweak!! I also need to remember to ask how big my band it - as if that means anything, really?!?! [ I was banded on November 15th and am scheduled for my first band fill on December 9th. I was thinking I would not have my first fill until later, maybe January. I am not getting hungry between meals yet. I'm wondering if I should cancel the fill and wait a little longer. I don't want to wait "too long" and take the chance of gaining weight. When are you having your first fill?

    Why did I do it.???

It had to be hard to go to the reunion and not stick something in your mouth!! I learned a lesson once like that and can still feel the pain if I think about it. I would be we all have had to learn that less on the hard way!! Good luck and no worries!!

    Moving on from Liquids!!!

Congratulations!! It is funny to get excited over mashed potatoes but that was the first thing I ate and it made me so happy!!

    food question

Hi Kelly! I was banded 7/27 and after I worked back to food I am happy to say I haven't found any food that disagrees with me. I chew very well and eat slowly. One time in a meeting I ate faster than I should have and paid for it with stomach pain from lunch til the next morning... lesson learned. I do eat toast and have been able to eat untoasted bread but don't push it too much with any bread that is thick. Chew extra well and eat slowly and hopefully you won't find any issues!

    1 week Post Op

Hi Jane!! Yay for 1 week out! I think you may be too soon to feel your port due to swelling. Mine is in the vacinity of that large incision, almost directly underneath it actually. Yours may be off to either side a bit. Another weird thing I had was something was hitting me in the ribs on my right side when I bent over to get something off the floor from my desk chair!! Not painful but very odd!! Take care!! Mary Sorry about the diet - mine was less restrictive in number of days spent at each stage but it is worth it!!

    1 Year Ago Today

Don't dwell on the feeling you let yourself down. You did what you had to do during a very hard time in your life and that is now in the past. Let this be another start for yourself!! Good Luck!

    10lbs in one month!!!!!

Hooray!! You really took control and you are making awesome progress!!
  11. Thanks for the post!!
  12. I think you are doing great!! But if you are still hungry either between meals or after eating you might need a teeny bit more fill??? I had that left side cramp before -- it could be gas or working out on abs stuff that is new or challenging muscles??? Take care :-)
