  1. They are very hard to see, Vickie, I even showed my stomach to 2 bariatric surgeons and both of them had a hard time believing Dr. Aceves could pull out the stomach from such a small incision.

  2. Thanks, guys. Lsereno, I think it's a bit of both. Favoredone, I've been working out for ages, so I had a good muscle mass before I got the sleeve. I used to lift weights a lot, and I boxed competitively for 2 years, so I got a good base from that. I've been doing Crossfit since Aug. '11, it's definitely the best workout ever - although it's not for beginners. But it's good to try once you get below BMI 30.

  3. Holy cow! You look amazing! Thanks for sharing your success! I assume you are going to celebrate by hitting the beaches in a bikini? :-)

Who you calling a cow? Hehe, just kidding. I just hit the beach 2 weeks ago, actually, albeit in a one-piece - too many waves for a bikini top to stay on! Thinking of going to Cuba this fall, maybe there?

  4. Wow, blown away when i looked at this then your before op picture.

AMAZING. Well done. I must read up on how much excercise you do! Im sure i have seen yoou post about it before.

Thanks! Most of my muscle mass is from exercising fairly consistently for years before the VSG, so I only exercise 3-4 times a week now to keep things up. I make sure to lift weights, that's the most consistent component of my exercise routine, and then I do some sort of cardio. My current cardio is mostly from my twice-a-week dance classes and a bit of running to prep for an April 5K.
