Just returned from a fabulous family vacation, to an email from my patient advocate that I have been approved by my insurance company and my surgery date is 10/8/10!!!!!! I am beyond excited!!!! Thank you to everyone for all of your support!!!!!

Don't be too hard on yourself. Everyone's body reacts differently to the pre-op diet, and if you are adding exercise that you haven't before, you are also building a bit of muscle! -

Congratulations!! I am scheduled to be banded on 10/8! In your post you stated you hoped you did not get cancelled again - how high was your blood sugar that caused them to cancel? One diabetic to another, I do not want to be cancelled! I can not wait to follow your journey! -

I have a friend who used the surgeon you speak of, and has had tremendous results. I scheduled an appointment with him, but then decided to search out other surgeons who didn't have such a steep after care fee. Good luck to you in your search. -

My patient advocate has confirmed that she now has everything necessary to submit my paperwork to the insurance company for approval. I am sitting on pins and needles waiting for a response! Keep your fingers crossed please!!

Paigey, Good Luck to you!! I am in Stockbridge too! Looked at the SRMC program, but my UHC (through Delta) requires that I have surgery at a Center of Excellence and SRMC is not one. I will be having my surgery at Atlanta Medical Center with Dr. Titus Duncan. I am currently waiting on insurance approval. Hoping to be banded shortly after you. I look forward to following your journey! -
