Good luck and good health to you. Yup, you have written somethings that came off harsh, but your opinion should have been just as valid and respected as others that are candid and don't coddle, who also come off hatsh.
I think LBT missed the boat on no cyber bullying.

I hope all goes well for you. And god forbid I should be scared and post a pic like this looking for support and get that kind of response. CHEZ, I have been on this forum for over 3 months and you are the first I've seen to be so mean and hurtful to someone else.

Since we all got here by not following dietary guidelines, it's no surprise that many struggle with adhering to "the rules" for preoperative and postoperative eating and exercise. Empathy and support is asked for in many different ways. Sometimes it's in the form of "confessing" to cheating. Whether insurance covered the surgery or not is irrelevant. Self sabotage is how we got here. Dealing with "head" issues throughout the process is essential to success.

Mine is coming out in a couple of weeks. It caused a lot of damage to my esophagus which I hope will improve after removal, though there's no guarantee. Why are you removing yours?

Baba Wawa got a reaction from JACKIEO85 in Anyone Have Chronic Diarrhea Long After Lap Band Surgery?
Since the band is in direct contact with the vagus nerve, which is responsible for managing the entire GI tract, it can be the cause of these types of problems. Nerve damage from abdominal surgery can cause a multitude of problems directly related to the vagus nerve. It regulates other essential functions, like heart rhythm, too.

...like achalasia...it sucks. It feels like you are stuck, but you're not, at least not stuck at the band. The food is stuck in the esophagus, but feels very similar. When only 1/100,000 people without bands get it, and you see posts constantly of banded people getting stuck on Water, yogurt, having "fickle" bands, tight for no reason, it cannot be ignored. Bands are not fickle, and while hot weather, TOM, other external factors can cause TEMPORARY problems, symptoms like these that persist, despite modifying diet, hydration, etc are a huge red flag that things aren't right. I'm still undergoing expensive, uncomfortable and time-consuming tests to determine the best course of action for my situation. I know removal is inevitable, but there may be several more Sx in my future due to this band. I've kept down 2 meals in the last 7 days, losing about 3 lb per week...

Baba Wawa reacted to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! in Is it possible for your band to become too tight without a fill
Some of us have extremely temperamental bands. Temperature, stress, hormones, illness, allergies, and even elevation can effect it and make it tighten right up. I'm definitely one of those people, too.
Is it too tight? If so, maybe you could get a really tiny unfill just for the summer?

No, you're not alone. It's very hard to read the "cursive" and light colored fonts. I usually copy and paste it into the reply box, read it and decide if I'm going to reply. When you copy and paste on a mobile device, it changes it to a more readable font.

Baba Wawa reacted to JACKIEO85 in Old band new fill STUCK
    Hi guys
Need help!!! I was banded Nov 2011 and just recently got filled, never had restrictions not one pound lost (all my fault)your recent Fill seems to be the problem, post-fill's can and do cause problems simlar to being stuck. Previous idea of going to liquids post fills on ALL fills is a good idea.
I consider this my beginning since before there was really no changes but anyways I was suppose to be on liquids but I did not pay attention and now I am in so much pain Pain, is pain no matter what the cause, a slight un-fill seems appropriate, call your doctor. should I just stop eating completely? I think I have something stuck but it doesn't come up I tried to throw up but nothing happens maybe I'm too tight? I don't know!!!
Please I need advise what do I do??! I still feel hungry being stuck or too tight will still leave you feeling hungry especially if you've been eating prior to the pain. Vomiting can and does produce complications, slip, esophageal issues. etc.. try to relax, talk to the Doctor and Hopefully things will get better.. Most of us have been there "done that" it's why were here.
NO ONE is perfect..please keep us updated
