I was banded on the 3rd of May and I'm hungry, too. But my doc says 2 weeks of clear liquids and that's what I'm doing. He's wiser than I am. There must be a reason why he's told me to do this. I see him in a couple of days. Maybe he'll tell me something different when he sees how well I'm doing. I sure hope so. I hope I can at least go to protein shakes and full liquids. Good luck to you.

I'm having left side pain with a bit of left shoulder pain. Had my surgery May 3.

Dblex- When did you have your surgery? I had mine on May 3. They told me to just keep sipping very slowly... like about 2 ounces and hour and only clear. Maybe you are drinking too quickly? The clear liquid should be able to pass through to keep you hydrated.

You'll be fine. Try not to stress. I was a bit stressed because I didn't get the approval from my insurance company until the Thursday afternoon before my Monday morning surgery! lol.. I didn't have to do a pre op diet. Just had to eat light two days before surgery. It's been 5 days since my LAP-BAND® procedure and I'm doing great. You'll do great, too! Just think of those pounds that will be dropping off and how much better you'll feel. For me... it's getting the weight off of my knees. I'm in and out of a truck all day long and it was really starting to get to my screaming knees. Good luck.. you'll do great!

I had my lap band surgery on May 3 and despite my normal problems after anesthesia I'm feeling pretty good. I slept well last night. I even got to lay a bit on my side last night in bed! Whoohoo! I take a pain pill about 2-3 times a day. The pain isn't bad. I'm on clear liquids and having no problems getting in 48 ounces a day but trying to get 64 is tough. I'm taking walks and all is well here. Those of you that are waiting for surgery-- don't fret. You will be fine.

Had my lap band surgery on the 3rd of May. Had some anesthesia problems. Nausea.. relfux, chest pain .. had to stay one more day at hospital. Came home yesterday. Couldn't sleep laying down last night. Had to sit up in chair. I got about 4 hours sleep between 2am and 6am. Doing pretty well today. I've been walking and sipping liquids, eating a little Jell-0. I gave myself the shot in my belly to prevent blood clots. I've taken my shower and just trying to keep busy walking. I've been to the mailbox twice. and I've been dusting a little in the living room. Good luck to those of you with your upcoming surgery! One day at a time. One day at a time.

I'm going in tomorrow morning (MAY 3) !! I can't wait to start feeling better. I have a hiatal hernia.. and I hope that will be fixed during the surgery. New Life----HERE I COME!! :thumbup:
