Please pray for me. I started my two week pre op liquid diet today...yep, on Labor Day.I think my doctor has it out for me. LOL! Everyone around me are eating barbecue and licking their fingers. That's okay, I GOT THIS!!!!

Thank you so much, he lived life to the max in such a short time so I do take comfort in that. Well you are between a rock and a hard place as they say but do just what you've said you would, don't be afraid to speak your mind and always pray about anything prior to execution and Jesus will see you through.

This is something serious and with the co-morbites you've mentioned your doctor should be biting at the bites to help you get rid of these life treating health issues. I too have diabetes and this surgery I'm told will eliminate it instantly! People would look at me also and say I'm vain because I don't look like I need to lose a pound much less have wls but looking healthy and being healthy is a whole nother issue. I have hypertension, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes so I'm doing what I need to do to save my life as my brother died at age 34 of diabetes and in his honor I will do whatever it takes to fight this disease and if that means wls, here I come. I too had a separate medical experience with a doctor and i didn't trust his opinion therefore i got a second opinion. I know it may be more time consuming but personally I would never want to go under the knife with a doctor that doesn't share my vision!!

Today is The first day of my all clear liquid diet. I have 2 more days till surgery. I'm not nervous...at least not right now. I am weak. I have low to no energy. I'm on only clear liquids, such as jello (not red), seltzer water, diet clear soda's, crystal light, broths without cloudiness. No protein shakes, or any protein that causes cloudiness in your beverage. So that means the only protein I have an abundance of is a no go. I refuse to go out and buy protein water for 1 more day. I can do this without. I'll just sleep a lot.
