I'm almost 2 1/2 years out and have slid back into some bad habits.. Year one I lost over 150 pounds and this past year I've gained almost 50 from my lowest.. I would LOVE to have a Buddy to check in with and Share a Support system with.
Below is a picture of my one year Sleeversary.

I'll be your buddy!

Hi all,
I had my surgery 6-21-17. I have been taking all my Vitamins and hair vitamins that my doctors nutritionist tells me to take.
My hair has become more brittle and thin out more
I get my Protein in too. Has anyone else experienced this and when will it end?
Is there anything I can do to stop it and help it?
Thanks
Mel

Okay I read everywhere that Hair loss is common. I had my surgery 6/21 and I have noticed my hair thinning and becoming brittle.
I take my Vitamins and hair vitamins which my doctors nutritionist tells me to take and I get my Protein in.
When does this she's stop and what else can I do to help my hair?

I need help with accountability and my struggle of eating.....I had a revision from sleeve to Bypass on May 30. In the past I have had 2 lap band surgeries....then lap band to sleeve in 2012....with not successful weight loss and recently the sleeve to by-pass.
I have no issues with dumping......I ate a cookie to see how my body would react....nothing happened.....The only time I feel any type of discomfort is if I get too full...but it seems I can eat more than most folks who have had by-pass.
I struggle with eating when I am not even hungry.......I have struggled with this issue for years which is one reason why my WLS have not been a success. I currently work out 5 days a week: both cardio and strength. I am 57 years old.
The struggle is REAL for me.......I probably should seek some type of counseling because of my "need to eat" when I am not hungry...
I feel do disappointed and discouraged that I will NEVER lose weight.....
I have lost 20 lbs, but that was my initial weight loss right after my surgery....I have not lost or gained in over 4 weeks.....
Hi [emoji1309], you're doing awesome! 20 pounds is something to Celebrate [emoji322] plateau is normal once you can eat more good high Protein foods you will lose the weight. Remember you are so worth all of this and you are so strong. You have made the decision to be healthy for you and most people won't do it for themselves, but you are! It takes time. You got this!!!!

Allison, I am so excited that you are ready for your new journey! Just remember to breathe and take time for yourself.
I made sure to clean and stock my pantry.
I was a little scared at first too. But looking back I would do it all again! [emoji7]mytime4me and Missy161 reacted to this -

Hi all!
I have the sleeve on 6-21-17. I do not have a history of high blood pressure. Usually mine is well within the normal range. After surgery it was high and continues to be 140/94 it hangs around there. Plus my pulse it higher than normal. I called my doctor and was told not to worry and that they will monitor it and I should be fine. What could be causing this? Can dehydration cause HBP? My doctor checked for leaking and I am all good. Any thoughts or feed back is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mel
