After a 62lb weight loss 1 year, a difficult pregnancy, tipping the scales over the 300lb mark and ending 10lbs heavier than my pre-banded weight - I am back on the bandwagon with 2cc in my band! I am ready to get this thing started and I KNOW my second time around is going to be TWICE as successful as the first!

How are things going? Not so great for me, I'm not loosing like I should, but it could just be Bandster Hell...who knows, lol!!! I've had 2 fills and can't wait for fill #3 and #4, they say those are the magic ones!!!

I wanted to see how you were doing...I'm still sitting at 17lbs lost...haven't lost anymore, wanted to see if you had!!!

I've been doing okay with harder foods, until this morning...it really hurt to swallow them...I dunno what's going on with that. I think I took too big of a bite.

I've been in misery...staying at my fiance's house while he is out of town and he doesn't have a scale so I cannot keep up with everything...oh well just means that my loss will be bigger when I DO get to weigh again!

How's your loss going?

Yeah, I still get hungry a little...but I am more worried about my scars! I really really really want them to heal up good...but they are starting to worry me

I hate to hear that your friends are tempting you...my bf is really trying to support me but bless his heart, hes a guy and he has a very hearty appetite!

I went for my one week follow up and my doc let me eat mushy eggs and grits which was GREAT!!! I have been living off potato soup and mashed potatoes, protein shakes and jello...I'll be so glad when this is done with and I can atleast eat a little of what I like.

I lost a lot of weight to begin with (like 10lbs in 4 days) but now it's slowed down...I still have lost a total of 17 lbs in a bout a week and half...I am pretty happy with that!!!

Things went good!!! I feel like I have indegestion without the burning sometimes, but I was told gas is normal! How is your pain?

Mine gets a little better every day!

Not getting hungry yet, but I have had trouble with the protein drinks. My nurse suggested Muscle Milk, I'm trying it tomorrow. I really need more proteins. I am on liquids only now (today is the first day) but all Ive had today is some potato soup and some sugar-free pudding lol!!

I can't seem to have any more than that..it hurts my tummy Plus, my nutritionist said that by week 3 I will be hungry...so I really wanna get a head-start so it won't be so hard for me to loose between week 3-5 (I have my first fill at week 6).

Yeah it's in my shoulder! I called the doc today and they said it was normal for me to still feel gassy and hiccup. My follow-up is on Thurs as well, I think I remember my nurse saying 3:25pm lol...but I was high on happy pills so I gotta double-check that!

I must be a big weeny cuz my tummy is still REALLY sore...however, they did have to fix a hernia in my stomach, so I'm thinking that has something to do with it...atleast I am hoping so.

I have 3 and the port in my shoulder! I keep hiccuping...are you hiccuping any? I am still sore in my port, but for all practical purposes my tummy feels sooo much better! I'm thinking I might get out of the house today and stir around...I'm starting to go CRAZY!

That sounds about like me!!! I just woke up and I still feel like I've been hit by a truck...better than yesterday though. My mom says my incisions look good...how many do u have? I have + a port. Just curious I guess lol!

Oh my gosh...I am sooo sore...I stayed at the hospital till 5:30pm and got there at 8:00am- Surgery at 10:30am. I think I still have air around mt stomach and my port site feels terrible!

But beside all that I DO feel like I made the right decision by doing this...I'll just be happy when I can feel normal again!!!

I heard some much about people NOT hurting after surgery...I don't know how though...I always thought I had a very high pain tolerance...guess not lol!

Im so nervous!!! I have to be there at 8:30am...I can't wait but I'm scared too...lol guess I just don't know what to think.

You are sooo lucky you got an early time slot! Totally jealous! I am hoping that the prelim schedule has been changed around and they tell me that he's wanting me there first thing in the morning...if that's the case, then I will be up and at em' at 4:30am my time bc it takes an hour and a half to get to my doctor...but it would be totally worth it to go ahead and get the surgery over and done with!

Yeah I did all that same day (including bloodwork). Your doc might not have you take the pill that I'm taking. He said that they are over-causious about nausia bc they REALLY don't want us to throw up post-surgery. When I went to the hospital they did bloodwork, EKG and chest x-ray. I cannot remember for the life of me what the name of that pill was but it's a SINGLE pill that keeps the nausia away for 72 hours from the time you take it and it by itself was $40.00. I know that I have met my deductible for my BCBS but I have my prescription coverage through a different company, so it may be different if you have your prescriptions filled through your regular insurance company...I dont know how they do the whole "max out of pocket" thing when it comes to prescriptions. The doc also prescribed me a liquid anti-nausia medication as well as some liquid Loritab, but I hope that I won't be in any pain so I don't have to take it...I HATE taking medicine!

* I meant after INSURANCE...not taxes...lol, I know that prolly sounded weird!

Ive already done my pre-op blood work...my meds for surgery and post-op were $60.00 bucks AFTER taxes...that was a shocker, but it's totally worth whats to come!!! I'm starting to get nervous...BIG TIME. My surgery won't be until afternoon and my friend just told me to sleep in and that would help...but I'm so nervous already I KNOW I won't be able to sleep...lol. It was a nice thought though!

I think we are getting banded on the same day...so I thought I would "befriend: you so that we can keep up with each other's progress! My surgery date is this Friday...did you have to do a liquid diet?

okay...I haven't had to do the regular "liquid" diet I hear everyone talking about...my doc put me on SugarBusters! diet, so I actually get to eat food...just not a lot and it's not very good food lol! I am nervous...I hope that I'm doing everything right...I've lost 5 lbs from it...so I think I'm doing okay! Are you on the liquid diet or something else?
