My two faves are my fitness pal and spark people. Spark people's food data base is pretty large and has ever food u can imagine as well as it counts calories burnt during exercise as well it gives the option to provide you with a menu and a work out routine. there is also livestrong which i hear is great and loseit.com

Hi Jessie44 I'm going in for a revision on Oct 18th and I'm scared out of my mind. I have the band which slipped so my doctor is going to revise it with the sleeve. How are you doing so far? Is it anything like the band in terms of the pain and or discomfort? I lost a few pounds with the band but after it slipped gained some back so my doctor thinks ill be better off with the sleeve.

I'm in Jersey as well. I live in Randolph but i spent a lot of time in hackensack. My surgery is scedule for the 18th in teaneck. I have the band and Im gonna be converting to the sleeve. I am so nervous.

I had my band done in July 2010. started out at 277 got as low as 224. Now my band also slipped causing me to throw everything up and really severe heart burn. needless to say I gained some of the weight back. Im now 245. My doctor recommended I get the sleeve. Im not going to lie...the thought of having 2/3 of my stomach removed scares the crap out of me but I cant risk gaining all that weight back. I cant go back!! Im now waiting for ins approval once all goes well Ill be having the sleeve on oct 25th.

I got food stuck on the third week of my band. Its the most disgusting and painful feeling ever! I was eating mashed baked yams and i must have swallowed too fast. When your food gets stuck you definitely would know as you would be PBing a whole lot and if you are like me you be throwing it right back up.

Goodmorning my fellow bansters Its been a while since Ive written a blog but at this point i really need the support of my fellow bandsters. July is my bandiversary and so far Im down 47lbs. My goal was to be at least 60 or 70lbs lighter by then but for some reason my body is not losing. tears are filling my eyes as im writing this and its from the one emotion that drains me the most ANGER!!! I dont know if Im angry at myself or at the whole lapband process. dont get me wrong I love my band and ill do it over if i had to but Im still trying understand this process. Im doing everything that i need to do. Ive even joined another gym which offers classes and take 2 classes everyday from kick-boxing to bodyworks, spinning, pilates, yoga you name it. I started that a week and a half ago as well I have been counting calories not exceeding12-1500 a day and yet i have not lost ONE SINGLE POUND!! (the caps are indicative of yelling as a result of frustration!) At this point the only thing that keeps me going is the hope of someday waking up stepping on the scale having a huge loss but i dont know how long that shred of hope will last. Some words of encouragement will be much appreciated at this point. I dont know what else to do

I just wanted to say thank you for writing this blog today. I have been so discouraged lately as i am slowly approaching my one year bandiversary (July 1st) and so far Ive only lost 45lbs. I have been comparing myself to other all the time and your right not doing so is easier said than done but reading this today has surely made me feel a lot better . Keep up the good work. Ill try your method as i find myself eating very little or sometimes not at all and ive been told thats probably the reason I haven't been losing.

You are doing great! Im almost a year in and Im only at 45lbs down so your are doing great! Keep it up!
