  4. Oh Billiejo...wish I would have seen this sooner, I would have wished you luck!!!!! PLEASE let me know how it went!!!!!!!!! I wont get to talk to the surgeon until April or May, which means surgery wont be till June possibly July. What a way to spend summer!!! Oh well, I will make up for it NEXT summer!!!!!!!

  5. found out my surgery date is march 18 yay

  6. i really dont have those issuse with pms and eating if anything i dont want to eat or do anything lol but the again its not my best friend. im sure there are people out there that have the same problem you should mention it someone will be able to give you advise.

  7. I don't mean that in a bad way...but I don't think guys really want to hash out PMS and periods....lol So, on to my question. I am not banded, and am doing the lo-cal diet that we in PA have to do for 5 or 6 months before the surgery. I do FANTASTIC with it for like 3 weeks. Then the week before my period, all hell breaks loose and I am starving. I seem to have little control over it, and am always hungry. I don't necessarily crave anything in particular, I am just hungry. No. Starving. I had lost 6 pounds. I gained that back this month. I will be able to lose it without a problem... but it's the keeping it off that is hard to do. I see the nutritionist in 3 weeks, and plan on asking her what to do. One doctor told me to walk away. Yeah. Right. He was a guy. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what do you do to curb it? I have tried eating small cans of veggies or a salad (because the nutritionist said I could do that- seems my metabolism was shut down until I started the program)... but I am finding it's not helping. Any suggestions at this point would be awesome!!!!! Thanks!

    losing friends...

Hi! If it were me, I would let it go for a little bit. She is hurt and you know how excited you were when you decided to get it done. If she continues, I would maybe gently bring it up, and tell her you understand, but you were hurt by her reaction. It isn't your fault they denied her. In time, she may be able to try again and get accepted. That happened to a friend of mine. She was denied several times for not having a high enough BMI... and ironically, her weight hasn't changed but her insurance did...and now she has been accepted. Hope that helps.
  9. Hi Billiejolupo... I am in PA. But I am going to Geisinger in Danville for mine. I haven't gone to any groups yet, except the nutrition class at the hospital. I have to get my arse in gear tho, because I am slacking big time. I think I fell into a 'gung-ho' pattern at first, but now, eh, it's back to my old routines. Until yesterday, that is!! PMS week is AWFUL for me...I get sooo hungry for ANYTHING. Do you have any problems like that? I might post something on here about it...see what help I might get!

  10. im sorry it says your from pa

  11. My first doc appt was december 18th and already lost my 12 pounds they told me to did almost everything already so there uping the rest of my meeting so i can get into the committee meeting the first week in february so hopefully sometime in march i will be banded. they said. do you ever go to the oneonta support groups

  12. Hi Billiejo... it's all scary when you think about it. As humans we are prone to being creatures of rountine and comfort. We have set ourselves into a comfort zone that we feel safe in. Change is never easy, but must be done for our health is at stake! You all will do great!!!! And coming here does help immensely!!!! Thanks for adding me as friends!

  13. the same here i just starting the many trips to doctors dec 18th and im scared to death as well comming here helps me stay focus there is such great results on here.

  14. Those are awesome questions!!! I had them myself, so awesome answers too!! Thanks for them both!
