    Banded for one year

Thanks for replying. I know it's stress because of the times in which I emotionally overeat (times when I have many responsibilities at work and my life feels out of control and out of balance). I am a school teacher, a wife and a mother. I find time to run in the morning before school. I usually get up at 4:50am 2 or 3x/week and run 10km. On the weekend, I do a longer run. Next week I will be running a half marathon. How do you "atttack" stress and how do you control emotional eating?

    Friday Weigh Ins

Hello Everyone, I am new to the forum. I was banded a year ago and so far have lost 25 lbs, but I still have 45 lbs to go. Posting my weight every friday sounds like a good way to stay motivated. Today I weigh 182 lbs. (I've gained 4 pounds in the past 3 weeks).

    Banded for one year

I have been banded for one year and have lost 25 pounds. I have 45 to go. I have been filled and defilled several times. My biggest problem is emotional eating. I still choose the wrong foods to eat when I am under stress and I eat too much of them. Unfortunately, there are many forms of junk food, which easily can be binged upon, even with a tight band. I run 3-4 times a week and train for half marathons, so I am very active. I feel discouraged and disappointed in myself. I wish I could stop turning to food in times of high stress.
