Hi, I had my lap band surgery on March 26th. I had the second corrective surgery a few days later. I couldn't hold anything down...I started at 303 pounds. I lost 35 in a week and have lost zero since. (5 months?) I have had 3-4 fills and I also have a larger hernia in my abdominal area that needs another surgical correction. The second time in he put in a 14cc band. Any advice on why I am stuck at this weight? I can't eat basically anything and I am miserable and considering asking my doctor while he is in me fixing the hernia that he created to un-do my lap band also. What's the use of having it if I can't eat anything and still am not losing weight? Ideas? :biggrin:

I'd appreciate all responses Hello. I had my first lap band surgery 3/24 and then a "re-do" on 3/26. I feel fine and had 3cc for my first fill. I go again today. I've lost 25 pounds and am "wicked" happy 'bout it. Will I continue to lose? Right now...I do get full eating 3 squares per day, but find myself getting hungry again and sometimes sneak snacks like I used to at night (tv time). I just hope my weight loss will continue or am I stuck on this 25 pound plateau? Thanks to all who answer.

Hi, I am 3 1/2 weeks post op (lap band) and had my first fill today. My doctor injected 3cc of saline into my port and it went great. However, he told me to be on a liquid diet x2 days and then a "mushy food" diet the next two. Why? I'm starvin' Anyone else get these instructions? Anyone else eat even though they got these instructions? Thanks...

I am 24 days first surgery post op. I had to have a "corrective surgery" 3 days after the first. I couldn't hold anything down. The doctor said he had never seen so much adipose tissue in all 600+ surgeries he said he's done. My BMI was 38.5 and I was 303 lbs. Presently, I am hungry just like I was before the surgery. I am scheduled to have my first fill in 6 days. After my first surgery the access port was not only visual but seemed like it would stick out for all to see. Now? I tried to locate it and I can't find it anywhere. Should I be worried that the doctor won't be able find it for my fill? Will my hunger go away? I lost 28 pounds at first, but have gained 8 back. Has anyone else had to have 2 surgeries to complete the lap band procedure? :unsure:I'm kind of scared and would appreciate some help...Thanks you.
