I have had a weight problem all my life.  I noticed a co-worker had lost alot of wieght.  I am in the food business, in and out of restaurants all day long, so most people in my line of work have a weight problem.  i was shocked at how much and how fast this person had lost weight.  I asked him what he did to achieve this and he told me he had a lapband implanted.  He told me all about it and how successful it had been.  He was off all of his meds because of the weight loss.  He had been a diebetic.  I was impressed.  I asked him where he had this done and he told me Mexico.  I couldn't believe that he would trust doctors outside of this country to opperate on him.  He told me that not only was he impressed with the doctors(all four of them), but the hospital was very clean and almost like a resort.  I was hooked.  He got me intouch with the group he used and 120lbs lighter, here I am.  I should have had it done years ago.  I tried to get my insurance to pay for it, but they refused.  In Columbia, SC I was quoted $16,000.  I had it done for $6000 in Mexico.
