Well I should have taken my temperature earlier, its 101.7 no wonder i dont feel good!

So you went back to the hospital why? Do you get severe tummy pain? I googled Illus and it dosent seem to be a word, is it an acronym?

Actually I feel rotten, I thought Id feel better by now. Today i took 2 naps and actually feel like ive got a bit of a fever now but its probably because ive been running around a lot today. Im a stay at home mom and caregiver to my parents, my job rests for no one!

Kelly, I paid for my band too 30k was removed on Thursday thank god my insurance covered the removal and will pay for my bypass too!

Im on day 5 post op band removal and just finnished my 2nd nap of the day! How much did you loose with your band Maraki?

Retzlpa ... i had my band out the 29th so just 3 days after you....who did your surgery? Crazy you could get the band out and bypassed the same day. I still feel wierd....no more real pain just discomfort really....but im so tired!

Hi Maraki Im 50 and had the band put in Nov 09 it was great for a while, I lost only 30 pounds with it but since i wasnt that big to start with i was happy enough. But then i gained it back...i ate sliders and crap because i coulnt eat a piece of chicken and a salad. So now its out and my bypass will get me to goal (id like to loose 60 pounds) the port removal pain was the worse but it only took a few days to calm down ... i had it out Thursday morning and its Sunday night now and im feeling almost normal. Tomorrow is my first day back to work so well see how my day goes!

Im 50 also! I just had my band out a few days ago, it was a b___ h! I threw up after i woke up for 24 hours, i had to spend the night! But im feeling better now, and will be bypassed in 2 months.

Well, how did you do?? I had my band out on the 29th too so we share a surgery date! My doc wants to wait 2 months before i get my bypass to heal my stomach from the band. Funny how doctors do things sooooo differently.

Had my band out last Thursday and planning on bypass in December.....still feeling sore, I have a big divit where my port was.....hope its a swelling issue because right now it looks like someone took a big spoonful out of me!

My revision is 2 surgeries, first band removal then i need 2 months to heal before he will bypass me, so unless I chicken out bypass will be around Christmas time!

My bmi is 31.7 right now, I am 50 and still have my band. Its comming out the end of October but my surgeon wont bypass me at the same time, i need to wait 2 months before hell bypass me so I hope to have a bmi of at least 30 at bypass surgery date. I am positive I will loose quickly, and so excited and scared.

Hi cmhueto where in sd are you? Who did your surgery? To me it sounds like your not getting enough calories in to loose but why dont you call kaiser and ask, im sure there is someone to talk to who would know for sure....to me 42 lbs sounds AWESOME! And i think you just send a request to that fb page and they accept on fb not at all through this site.....be carefull though because fb is not private at all.

On paper is fine, dont beat yourself up......you did it! It dosent matter how you do it. My week was worse than my first, last week i lost 3 pounds and this week i had family in town so i messed up with wine .... so many empty calories the on top of that it makes me want to munch! Im ready for tomorrow i suppose, ill drink lots of lemon water tomorrow and hope i can flush out some of my extra salt. How was your food week? Did you drink a shake every day?

Hi Nikki how was your week? I cant believe another week has gone by. I started tracking all of my food in my fitness pal app....how did you decide to track?

Thisfathasgot2go......why dont you check in anyway? Go get weighed in at your kaiser and have it recorded, its just going to get harder and if you gain what you lost your surgeon may make you wait and loose more first.

Im 50! I was banded in 09 and am getting revised to bpass. Im looking at about Dec for band removal and feb for the bypass, my biggest advantage is that living with the band for the last 6 years i have a good idea of what im getting into, biggest fear is long term bypass complications. Dont really care about the flabby skin, ive already got that!

How about calorie tracker apps? I am using my fitness pal, and need a step tracker app to go with it, suggestions?

I have been using mfp for a week now and really like it, what steps trackers do you guys use? Does it sync up with mft?

I see that you can not see what goes on in that group which is nice but anyone can see who the members are wich is a bummer.
