  2. Happy 49th Birthday pr8453!

  3. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary pr8453!

  4. Hey Pam I was worried about you I have not heard from you on any of the boards in a while how are you feeling these days? Better?

  5. The first two nights were rough for me because I'm a side sleeper too. Once I was able to be on my sides, I slept great! They said the port area would be the sorest and they were right. My appetite is back as well, which makes it alot harder. I haven't had any trouble eating so that doesn't help either. I have lost 27 pounds but I think it will be alot slower now. I've started working out again so maybe that will help. The traveling was not too bad. I just got tired easier then usual. When do you goin for your first fill? Mine is scheduled for Nov. 9th. I'm a little nervous about that but looking forward to not being able to eat as much.

    September 2009 Band Date

Hi all Sept Bandsters! I haven't posted in a while but have been trying to stay caught up on how everyone is doing. My weightloss has stalled since about 2 weeks post op and I am just holding at the same weight now. I am 4 weeks post op today and just scheduled my 1st fill for Oct 17th. I hope it makes a difference because like many of you I definitely get hungry now and I really miss that feeling of not thinking about food at all from those first 2 weeks of post op! Good luck to everyone and I really love hearing all of your ideas on healthy menus because it helps me- I always seem to get stuck eating the same thing over and over and then I start to hate it- so I need all the ideas I can find!
  7. Mine went fine too! I was so glad to get back home because time seemed to stand still while I was there- probably because I couldn't sleep well those first couple of nights. I have always slept on my side or stomache and those first 2 nights I had to stay on my back because I was so sore but was better once I could at least roll to my right side! I am finally back to feeling pretty much normal- no more shoulder pain, or pain when I take a deep breathe and just a little soreness where the port is. Unfortunately, I have gotten my appetitie back yesterday! It was easy doing the clear liquids because I didn't want anything anyway but now I am actually hungry! How are you doing? Was the travel rough for you? How is your postop diet going?

    Anyone from Georgia ??

HI! Yes I am feeling almost back to normal. Still a little soreness at the port incision when I bend over or lie down but nothing bad. I had no appetite at all until postop day 8 and then suddenly I was hungry for anything other than broth, popsicles, etc. So I started cream Soups, and some pureed foods- nice to feel full after half a cup of food but it was nice not being hungry at all! How are you doing? Tired of all the rain? I can't beieve it is going to rain all next week too! I need to see some sunshine!:blushing:
  9. How did things go for you? It went better than I expected! I hope you are doing well.

  10. Good luck today!! I hope everything goes well and can't wait to hear about your experience when you get home this weekend. I was able to wear a bra without an issue now- the first couple of days it bothered me because 1 of my incisions is right in my bra line. But after a couple of days it was fine. Good luck!!

  11. Not really having any pain now except maybe a few times a day for a few minutes in my left shoulder. And when I first lie down at night some abdominal pain but it passes after just a couple of minutes. I will admit the first day after my surgery- I was really doubting my decision - mainly because I felt bad and kept thinking -"if anything goes wrong - I have to go thru this again to get this band out of me" But as soon as I started feeling better by day2 I was happy I had done it. I had no hunger at all until yesterday day 7post op - and I really was tired of clear liquids but now I am on full liquids so I think it will be much easier this week. Good luck to you! When is your band date?

  12. Hope you are doing well. Walking throught the Atlanta Airport can be a pain by itself. Sorry you had to deal with it and gas pain. Do you still have anymore pains now? What do you think about your band so far? Sorry to be so nosey, just this waiting gets me nervous and I want to know ALL I can.

    Thanks Amanda :)

    Anyone from Georgia ??

HI! Yes I got home late Saturday night- around 11:30pm so it was a long day- but I felt fine through it all. Just some shoulder pain that started Sat night and normal abdomenal pain. I started back to work Monday morning - but telecomuting so I don't have to make the 1hr commute yet. The liquid diet is getting really old but still hanging in there.
