Hey Pam I was worried about you I have not heard from you on any of the boards in a while how are you feeling these days? Better?
-
The first two nights were rough for me because I'm a side sleeper too. Once I was able to be on my sides, I slept great! They said the port area would be the sorest and they were right. My appetite is back as well, which makes it alot harder. I haven't had any trouble eating so that doesn't help either. I have lost 27 pounds but I think it will be alot slower now. I've started working out again so maybe that will help. The traveling was not too bad. I just got tired easier then usual. When do you goin for your first fill? Mine is scheduled for Nov. 9th. I'm a little nervous about that but looking forward to not being able to eat as much.

Mine went fine too! I was so glad to get back home because time seemed to stand still while I was there- probably because I couldn't sleep well those first couple of nights. I have always slept on my side or stomache and those first 2 nights I had to stay on my back because I was so sore but was better once I could at least roll to my right side! I am finally back to feeling pretty much normal- no more shoulder pain, or pain when I take a deep breathe and just a little soreness where the port is. Unfortunately, I have gotten my appetitie back yesterday! It was easy doing the clear liquids because I didn't want anything anyway but now I am actually hungry! How are you doing? Was the travel rough for you? How is your postop diet going?

Good luck today!! I hope everything goes well and can't wait to hear about your experience when you get home this weekend. I was able to wear a bra without an issue now- the first couple of days it bothered me because 1 of my incisions is right in my bra line. But after a couple of days it was fine. Good luck!!

Not really having any pain now except maybe a few times a day for a few minutes in my left shoulder. And when I first lie down at night some abdominal pain but it passes after just a couple of minutes. I will admit the first day after my surgery- I was really doubting my decision - mainly because I felt bad and kept thinking -"if anything goes wrong - I have to go thru this again to get this band out of me" But as soon as I started feeling better by day2 I was happy I had done it. I had no hunger at all until yesterday day 7post op - and I really was tired of clear liquids but now I am on full liquids so I think it will be much easier this week. Good luck to you! When is your band date?

Hope you are doing well. Walking throught the Atlanta Airport can be a pain by itself. Sorry you had to deal with it and gas pain. Do you still have anymore pains now? What do you think about your band so far? Sorry to be so nosey, just this waiting gets me nervous and I want to know ALL I can.
Thanks Amanda
