    Hey Ladies, My work day is about to end.. I got this email from one of my good friends.. So I thought I would share! 40 Tips for a Powerful New You o Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant. o Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to. o Buy a TIVO, tape your late night shows and get more sleep. o When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement: "My purpose is to___________ today." o Live with the 3 E's: Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy. o Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2007. o Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6. o Dream more while you are awake. o Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat fewer foods that are manufactured in plants. o Drink green tea & plenty of water and eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts. o Try to make at least 3 people smile each day. o Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life. o Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment. o Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime. o Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. o Smile and laugh more. o Life isn't fair, but it's still good. o Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. o Don't take yourself so seriously.   6. Ellfiepoo If you don't mind I ask.. What kind of Studies HAVE YOU DONE ON IT? Google look-up doesn't count.. J/k I've had MANY PERSONAL EXPERIENCES with it.. MY BROTHER, FAMILY, FRIENDS,.. RECREATIONAL, OR MEDICINAL... i've done my studies.. My GOOD FRIEND is a graduate from "Marijuana School" whats your back up? Theres also a college out here for it.. called OAKSTERDAM specifically for starting your own cannabis club, and growing. Why do you think these schools are getting popular? Why are there sooo many students going?
  7. ElfiePoo-I don't know of any state where marijuana is legal for recreational use? Do you? Recreational use- NO.. BUT!! (AND ITS A BIG BUTT) In CALIFORNIA try looking up MENDOCINO COUNTY AND HUMBOLDT = you can grow 10 plants on your property..we are NOTORIOUS FOR OUR GREEN BUD THERE. ElfiePoo And some states have legalized marijuana for medical purposes. What most are talking about here is the illegal recreational use EXACTLY!! THEY LEGALIZED IT BECAUSE DOCTORS AND SCIENTIST RECOGNIZE IT. FUnny how also how our President OBAMA stopped the FEDS from going any further in "busting out cannabis clubs" the war on WEED isn't such a WAR anymore. Also in Cali- they are TAXING it.. meaning.. we are soo close to having this LEGALIZED..pretty soon THIS WILL NO LONGER BE AN ISSUE.. Like I said... Welcome to the Future.. Open your minds.. there are WORSE THINGS out there than "Weed"..:thumbup:
  8. ELFIEpoo and FATMOM.. I respect what you're saying and with that.. its REALLY TO EACHES OWN. You state that Marijuana is illegal.. in What state are you in? Have you done your studies on it? I really feel before anyone goes off saying that Marijuana is an "illegal drug or is a bad drug" DO YOUR RESEARCH. ITS AN HERB NATURALLY GROWN IT IS NOT CHEMICALLY BASED Sorry to be on the defense BUT- My younger brother died of a brain tumor. The first time around when he survived the cancer, marijuana was the ONLY THING that helped him eat. Because of "WEED" he survived THE CANCER for 5 years... (unfortunately.. it came back) BUT let me tell you.. WITHOUT THE MARIJUANA.. I DON'T BELIEVE I WOULD'VE HAD ANOTHER 5 YEARS WITH MY BROTHER. DO YOUR RESEARCH.. ITS TO EACHES OWN..     Hey Everyone! Hope everyone had an interesting, fun weekend. I'm STILL doing battle of the Bulge with these last 10lbs.. I told myself I wouldn't go on the scale.. but I did. I WANTED to jump up and down on it and beat the living crap outta of it.. but I held my composure.. the scale said 204.4 I BLINKED HARD LIKE 3 TIMES.. WHAT THE MOTHA FRACKIN FRACK???!!!! uggh.. SO i WAITED.. got back on again.. then it said 202.3 I tried one more time then it said 199.9 I HATE DIGITAL SCALES.. THERES A CONSPIRACY BEHIND THEM... lol. So I measured myself.. BIG DIFFRENCE from just Friday!! So.. I'm happy about that.. TIP OF THE DAY! So yesterday I was watching the NINERS play and decided to go to the gym during half time.. SMART MOVE..NO SWEATY MUSCLE MEAT HEADS!! ... They were all at home probably watching the game.. so moving forward.. I'm at the GYM on SUNDAYS during football time!! lol Candra, Yes!! ALL OF YOU LADIES are more than welcome to join my hula/tahitian class. If you wanna watch first just to get the feel of it... no problem.. I recommend you come at the beggining of the month, because that's when we usually learn a new dance. The class is for 1 hour -Vallejo residence for class membership is $25.00 a month.. outside residence is $35.00 We warm up first, and then get into the basics and so fourth. Unfortunately practice is done EVERY WEDNESDAY so I WON'T be attending the Support group in Richmond :eek: Sorry.. Hey the last Saturday of this Month is on HALLOWEEN.. is that when the Sac group is meeting also? Is there any other meetings you guys are going to that's not held on Wednesdays? lemme know!! Hope Everyone is doing good!!:frown:

    Ok so I'm DETERMINED that by OCTOBER 16th 2009 I should be on or UNDER my surgery goal weight which is 190. I've hit 190 before without even trying.. and now i'm on this freakin 1200 calorie pre-op diet and its screwin me all up. LOL when the doc told me 1200 calories a day.. I laughed inside... DUDE I COULD DRINK 1200 calories in like less than 30 minutes... WHICH IS TRUE AND VERY SAD.. LOL.. Anyways.. I've been going to the gym every night. I do the elliptical for about 45 minutes about 3 1/2 or more miles. then I do the Stairclimber for about 20 minutes.. I'm becomming a GYM ADDICT. I love it when I go to the gym at like 3:30 AM.. yes AM and NO ONE but Senior Citizens or Janitors are there.. and usually they are swimming so I have the whole place... to myself... LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. I wanna do some weight lifting too but not too much.. just enough to get the fat burning...I'm glad i'm takin control of my health again.. For soooo long I've neglected myself.. I know it might sound really self centered.. but considering my past... ITS ALL ABOUT ME NOW.:thumbup::eek:

    Hey Nicole! I know how you feel.. I was SUPER ANXIOUS just getting a date on When my next appointment is gonna be. I think the hard part is "the waiting" thumbs up on your Gym Membership!! Even though you don't wanna start losing weight right now.. I would do some excercise just to get you started.. like walking on the treadmill, or swimming. I think that way when you know how much your suppose to lose then you can really start that "workout". Ok Riley.. So have the wine? no I won't be mixing any hard liquor.. if I do.. its definately gonna be with Diet pepsi/coke . but yeah I've had this bottle of Moscato that's been chillin in my fridge, and I'VE BEEN DYING to pour me a glass... I think I'll do that.. and then... later on tonight.. i'm gonna hit the gym... I like going to 24 cuz I'll go either late at night or weee early morning.. Can't stand all the Jock strap meat heads in there during PEAK time. Plus they hog and sweat on EVERYTHING!

    Hi Ladies, AHHHHHHH FRIDAY!!! YES! i'm soo glad. Dr. Park reminds me of Lucy Liu and Connie Chung mixed all in one.. LOL TUFF, INFORMATIVE, and CLASSY! LOL.. So ok, I've been staying away from CARBS and I stopped Licking stuff too. LOL. I worked out again last night and this time I started Stair climbing too... yes that's a WORKOUT!. Since the scale has been driving me nuts, I decided to start measuring myself today "hopefully" that will show me diffrent from the scale. Ok.. since I Don't have the band in yet.. a couple of my girl friends wanna come over and have drinks.. would it be "ok" to have a couple of glasses of Moscato or should I just do straight "hard liquor" like Voldka or Tequilla shots? I guess what i'm asking is.. which has less carbs and sugar? or will either effect this diet?:smile: P.S. i'll be starting a new thread in or Richmond group for measurements! List yourself if you'd like!

    lol.. NO.. I changed my ticker to my surgery goal weight first.. so right now i'm like 199.9 lbs.. I hate this SHIZNIT!!! last week I was at 197 doing less than what I'm doing now.. doesn't make sense.. PLEASE GOD Just let this be PMS TIME, PLUS MUSCLE GAIN.. ALL I'M SAYING IS.. I better be 194 or less by the end of next week.. I AM DETERMINED TO MAKE a call to Dr. Park by or Before October 16th to let her know I hit GOAL for my surgery weight. ok so wrote it on here I'm believing I could do this.. and so IT SHALL HAPPEN... lol

    Good Afternoon Everyone! Pat- yeah looks like you me and Tamara are all in the same boat! You got Dr. Park too? I think she's great.. like what Jess said.. STRAIGHT AND FORWARD.. Ms. Hot thang- lol.. These last few pounds I have to lose is Killin me!! I refused to weigh myself today.. I won't weigh myself till next monday.. that way I could really see if there's a diffrence or not. This up and down 1lb 2lb thing is makin me go crazy... :smile: Its soo hard I had a Mental fight with a strawberry covered yogurt bar.. tooo many carbs but I just wanted a taste of it... so.. I licked it and threw it away. LOL... I taped the box up and i'm taking it to my moms today so the kids could have a snack. No carbs No carbs ... tryin to stay focused-

    Good Morning Everyone:smile:... Hopefully we all have a good day today... I'm SOOO FRUSTRATED:cursing:. I've been eatin all protein, and workin my ARSE off.. I walk 30 min in the day and I run at least 3 1/2 miles at night.. I weighed myself this morning.. and then the scale says I've gained 5lbs!! What the frackin FRUCK!!!???!!! OK... i'm praying this is all water gain since its almost "my time of the month" i'm thinking i'm gonna do an all liquid diet to just detox myself... any suggestions???

    woo hooo!!! lucky you!! congrats!! Dang November 23rd? geez by the time I lose my 5lbs I'll have my surgery in December! ;( (jus guessing) Ok I know I'm a "lil koo koo" but I don't think I need baby spoons to fool me.. LOL.. Geez can't I just wake up and be at surgery goal weight already???!!

    ok toppings ONLY.. (next time), chocolate Sugar free Popsicles- Mmmm Avacados- MMmmmmm my favorite!! yumm.. Does any of you really use the scale and measure everything? ok and if you have a scale wheres the best place to buy a cheap "good" one. I'm watching all these Youtube videos and I watched some girl buy baby plates, forks and spoons, and a scale, and measuring cups.. I have measuring cups.. but scale? baby plates?

    OMG.. my boss just brought in "HEALTHY VEGI PIZZA" from Subway.. I couldn't resist.. I had 2 slices and washed it down with DIET PEPSI... ahhh helll I know its not part of the fatkins diet or the 1200.. but damn its been sooo hard.. Ok definately i'm gonna burn this off with my workout tonight... THIS IS SOO HARD! Its getting close to "my time of the month" and so I feel EVERYTHING.. i'm gettin emotional.. my boobs hurt...i'm CRAVING chocolate TRUFFLES... wanting to hit up an all you can eat SUSHI BAR.. UGGHHH!!!! OK i need to concentrate here.... sorry.. I just had to vent..:scared2:

    Hi Pat! Which meeting? The one in Vallejo or Richmond? Either way.. Nice to meet you on here :tongue2: I just got back home from working out.. I've been doin the atkins diet too.. I'm sooooo close be I feel soo far away... I weighed myself this morning I was at 195.4 OMG!!!!!! 5 pounds away! I'm thinking about doing a liquid diet... ? I wanna get down to 185 that way at least I won't have to worry about being 1lb over and them telling me I can't have the surgery.. that would suck ASS big time.. lol.. Let me know when this Vacaville meeting is gonna happen... I wanna go!!

    :tongue:Hi Ladies~ Well I emailed Dr. Park and told her that I did my research on the RNY and Lapband and that I change my mind and I would like to do the Lapband surgery instead.. She wrote back: "Yes, lapband would be an option" ok maybe i'm jus being "jumpy" but does that mean Yes she's gonna do it or.. Yes.. its an option but she wants to talk to me about it? Uggh.. maybe i'm jus stressing.. ok I'll wait till I hit my surgery goal weight and then ask her.. Hope your Monday is going good~

    Hey Hey peoples! I HAD a wonderful time with you guys yesterday. I'm so glad I actually got to meet the NOTORIOUS RICHMOND (BAY AREA) BANDSTERS! :seeya: Hopefully next meeting I'll get to meet ALL OF YOU! Candra, if anything your talk with me gave me ALOT OF INSIGHT ON what I want to do. (thank you) So last night I got with my bestfriend and went over and wrote down all the pros and cons about RNY and LAP-BAND®. I mean we talked HELLLA LONG about it.. went on the internet read actual stories and pretty much did our own research. I WAS UP TILL 3AM.. (the heat helped keeping me up too) SOOOOOOO... tomorrow morning I'm going to email Dr. Park- and let her know I would like to have the LAP-BAND® instead of the RNY. :blushing: I think going over EVERYTHING really made things more CLEAR as to why I wanted the LAP-BAND® in the first place. so yeah!! Next time I get to sit with the COOL :cool:kids in class! lol j/k
