  1. Great news on your surgery date. I can totally relate to joint pain. One of the main reasons I had this surgery was that the weight was causing so much pain on my joints, especially my hips. I would have pain constantly. I would wake up at night just from the pressure of sleeping on my sides which would cause severe pain in my hips. I have lost 31.5 pounds (6 weeks out) and the pain in my hips is nearly gone. I still have it some, but it gets better and better as the pounds drop off. I just started exercising recently where before surgery I couldn't walk a block without being in terrible pain. I think it will help your joints tremendously. Best wishes to you.

  2. I am so happy for everyone that is having all these great NSV. I am happy in my size 8 jeans and don't expect to go down in anymore sizes. The guy I am dating told me the other night that I have a really cute butt. That was fun!

woooohooooo Daisy. Maybe you should post some butt pics soon. lol :crying:

    1/2 cup Tomato basil Soup

Total fat for lunch was 11

    dinner:

    1 1/2 mini sweet pickle

    1 large hard boiled egg

    1 tbsp light mayo

Maybe I need to cut the fat down some.

  4. I need some advice. I'm still losing weight consistently but at a very slow rate. I'm losing 1/2 pound every other day. Seems like that has been the standard for the last couple of weeks (possibly 3 weeks). At that rate...it will put me losing 7 pounds every 28 days. Does this seem like a good weight loss or does it seem very minimal to anyone else?

I am walking a minimum of one mile per day. I've made my 64 ozs of fluids all but about 3 days in the last 3 weeks. Is there anything I should be doing different to bring up the weight loss, or is this going to be my typical loss over the next months?

Here's a brief overview of my calorie intake:

  5. I had my Sleeve done on Feb. 24, I had to spend the night in the hospital since I lived so far away. I felt ok afterwards, but still kinda sore. I have been burping a great deal and that is the only uncomfortable feeling that I really have. I don't really have a appetite, but I know that will probably change. I'm still kinda tired but I know that it should get better as time goes by. My doctor told me to not worry about Protein the first week. I just wonder if I will ever get rid of this burping!!

Congratulations on getting your sleeve. Best wishes for a very speedy recovery.

  6. katldy, you'll be just fine and of course all the emotions and non sleep are pretty typical for most heading to surgery. It's ok to feel those things. As far as sleep goes, I used an over the counter Melatonin. I bought mine at Walmart. It seemed to work really well for me. In the past I have used Tylenol PM because I've always had problems sleeping, but the Melatonin has worked also. Best wishes to you on your journey,

  7. Loser, Dr. Aceves sent us home with Nexium, but since I've had to increase my dosage due to the blood clots and the fact that I'm taking aspirin everyday, he suggested I by Prilosec. He said it is basically the same thing. So right now I am taking Nexium in the morning and prilosec in the evenings.

  8. I had my first NSV today!!!! 199216.gif I don't use my hubbys Jeep very often but decided to drive it back to work after having lunch at home. He's much taller than me so I always move the seat up first thing. I always move it up until my belly touches the steering wheel and then I can still barely reach the pedals! (I'm only 5'2) And even after doing that I normally can only push the clutch about half way down. Today I got in, moved the seat up until my belly touched the steering wheel and pushed the clutch in to start the jeep....and I was able to push the clutch down to the floor!!! OMG...I did it about 20 x's, I'm just so excited. heheeh *snickering*
