  1. Only two more days until surgery. We head to San Diego early tomorrow morning. See ya there. :)

  2. I know!!! I'm so excited and nervous. How are you holding up?

  3. Hi Brenda, I'm doing ok. Starting my second week of pre op diet (ugh). How are you doing on your diet? Sounds like you are heading to San Diego early? Are you still scheduled for surgery on Tues the 19th? Looking forward to seeing you there.

  4. We leave for Mexico early morning the 18th for testing, then surgery on the 19th. How are you holding up with the liquid diet? I'm not sure I would have done very well on that. I'm pretty much able to eat any meat, and some cheeses, a few veggies, but no carbs. Are you getting nervous at all? What time is your surgery? Keep in touch.

  5. I'm doing ok. I'm on my 5th day of pre op diet and it's a little difficult but over all not so bad. I'm down to 228 from 235 so Im hoping my liver will be just fine for surgery.

  6. Brenda, I am so looking forward to the up coming changes as well. My hubby is coming with me. I've heard the commisary is very good for meals, so maybe he and your mother can have company with each other as well. I'm so afraid he gets bored for all those days. He is bringing our laptop, so I think that will help. I'm looking forward to meeting you. Where do you live? I'm in Colorado.

  7. Just wanted you to know you've been in my prayers.

  8. Thank you so much! Is it open to anyone? I'd definitely like to attend. I haven't been banded yet, but would like to get hooked up with a support group prior.

  9. Thanks for your response Willow. He's one of my top picks so far. I'm also considering Dr. Snyder in Denver. Those are my two choices if my insurance covers it. If not, then I will probably go with Dr. Kirshenbaum in Aurora because his fee is so reasonable for self payers. I live in Monument. I will keep in touch. Thanks again.

  11. Willow, Are you still happy with Dr. Fisher? I'm searching for a surgeon in Colorado Springs, and can't seem to find much information on any of them. Did your insurance cover your surgery? Do you know how much fills are with Dr. Fisher? I'm just starting the whole process, so any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
