    It's my one year anniversary!

You can and will be successful with the sleeve. I can't tell you how many diets I went on over 30 years. I must have lost and gained over 600 lbs. This does work. It does take dicipline and committment. I too wondered if this would work for me. It has been the one thing that does work. I honestly believe that many of use have grelin glands that are abnormal and that's why we are constantly hungry. Once that is removed, it changes the way you feel about food. I don't constantly think about food like I used to. Best wishes to you on your journey.

    NSV shout outs

    hehehehe...that is priceless!!! Love it!:lol0:
  4. I was warned before I had surgery that hiccups when full is one of the side effects of this surgery. Does anyone else do this? Does it ever go away? The minute my tummy gets full...I do one or two loud hiccups. It's a bit embarassing. :confused1:

    Newly Sleeved

Trinity, it really does vary from person to person. There are so many factors involved. Age, metabolism, diet, exercise. Some lose more rapidly than others do. The good thing is that we are all headed down. I'm 15 weeks out and have lost 53 lbs as of this morning.

    Ugh...

It will get better. The first couple of weeks can be a roller coaster ride. Hang in there with a positive attititude and know it will be better soon. Praying for you to feel well soon.

    No appetite at all.....

firefly, it is a great feeling to be losing weight and not dieting. It is just melting off. I eventually would like to get all my protein from healthy food, but like you I am still using Protein shakes or shots. I can still only eat 2 - 2 1/2 ozs of food per meal, so if I don't do a shake or shot everyday there is no way I can get in the 60 =70 grams of protein I need per day. :scared0:

    No appetite at all.....

ryansgirl, I've started drinking tea also. When I quit the coffee I took up decaf herbal tea and I really enjoy it every morning.

    14 Weeks out

Absolutely. I wish I had known you would want them before today. I just brought 15 pairs of jeans from size 22 to 18 to the good will this weekend. I'll start saving them as I'm going down and we can meet one day. I go up to Littleton quite often.

    No appetite at all.....

Deb, same thing for me. Nothing taste good at all. I eat because I know I have to eat. I'm glad in a sense, but sure would be nice to eat something (anything) that tasted good.
