    magic bullet VS ninja????????

I just bought the Bullet about a month ago. I love it!! It does everything I need it to do. I do like the little containers with lids, as most of the time I can barely eat half of what I make. I just put the lid on it in the same container that I used to blend it and then use it later.

    One week out

katldy, you'll be just fine and of course all the emotions and non sleep are pretty typical for most heading to surgery. It's ok to feel those things. As far as sleep goes, I used an over the counter Melatonin. I bought mine at WalMart. It seemed to work really well for me. In the past I have used Tylenol PM because I've always had problems sleeping, but the Melatonin has worked also. Best wishes to you on your journey,

    Two NSV's this week.

I have felt like I'm losing very slowly since surgery, but I have to realize that my age, and the fact that I haven't been exercising much has a lot to do with it. I know it's a journey that takes time, but it's in my nature to be impatient. lol I had two NSV's (None Scale Victories) this week. The first was being able to scoot the seat up in our jeep and actually reach the pedals. Normally my belly prevented me from being ablet to scoot up far enough to push the clutch down to the floor. Now I can!! woohooo. The second was that I tried a pair of 18 jeans on today and they fit!!! I haven't worn a size 18 in a long time. I've dropped 2 - 3 sizes since surgery. Makes me feel wonderful. To anyone questioning whether this will work or not...I does!!! Trust me. Happy Thursday all! :w00t:

    Pork rinds?

Yes loser, that's what Dr Aceves recommended I get in place of my Nexium.
  9. Barbara278

    Pork rinds?

I want to try the pork rinds but I'm so scared they will be dry since we can't drink. Do they go down ok without drinking anything?
  10. Barbara278

    Pork rinds?

Loser, Dr. Aceves sent us home with Nexium, but since I've had to increase my dosage due to the blood clots and the fact that I'm taking aspirin everyday, he suggested I by Prilosec. He said it is basically the same thing. So right now I am taking Nexium in the morning and prilosec in the evenings.
  11. I decided to go ahead and order these products now and start using them. I'll report back to let everyone know if I see any changes in hair condition and growth. I haven't started losing my hair yet, but I know it's just around the corner and since I have very thin hair to begin with I thought I'd be proactive and start these products ahead of time. I'll keep you all posted.

    NSV shout outs

I had my first NSV today!!!! I don't use my hubbys Jeep very often but decided to drive it back to work after having lunch at home. He's much taller than me so I always move the seat up first thing. I always move it up until my belly touches the steering wheel and then I can still barely reach the pedals! (I'm only 5'2) And even after doing that I normally can only push the clutch about half way down. Today I got in, moved the seat up until my belly touched the steering wheel and pushed the clutch in to start the jeep....and I was able to push the clutch down to the floor!!! OMG...I did it about 20 x's, I'm just so excited. heheeh *snickering*
  17. Just checking on you. How's your journey going? Mines going pretty good so far.

  18. Hey Brenda, checking in on your to see how things are going? I hope you are doing wonderful. I'm defintely starting to eat more foods a little at a time. I still haven't had much hunger at all. I did have one incident where I tried to eat Ribs and almost lost them back up. Ugh, so I won't try that again for a few weeks. I've decided to only weigh once a week. As of last week I was down 28 lbs. It's slow but steady.

    Life Changes...here I come!

Cricket, Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your sleeve date. Everything you are feeling is normal. It is a huge life changing event, but each day gets easier and becomes the norm. It's all about changing our habits and relationship with food. It definitely works! Best wishes to you. Barb

    Leak still NOT healed

Stacie, I'm so sorry things aren't going well for you. I don't really know what to say but I know from your words that your are hurting emotionally. I beleive very strongly in the power of prayer, so you can count on me to be praying for your healing and recovery every day. Please keep up posted on how you are doing.

    were you nervous to eat

dybarra, I had the exact same feelings you are having. I was really scared to eat anything. Just take it slow and you will be fine. Chew everything very well and eat slowly. It's just a learning process, but I think your fears are very normal. Good Luck.
