I kept craving hotdogs. I hate hotdogs, but I could smell them everywhere. I did not even know they smelled, but if I walked into a store that solded them like Target's snack bar I could smell them. My husband thought I was crazy. I never did eat one and now 3 years later I couldn't eat one if I wanted to. One thing I did and still do find myself watching the food network where I never did before. Now I watch Cupcake Wars, Cake Boss and the one where the guy goes around eating the biggest burger, pizza, pancake or whatever, so weird cheri

Okay about 8 months ago my doctor put me on Crestor to lower my cholesterol level. I did not want to do it as I did not like the reviews on the drug. A lot of bad side effects. I took Zeta for a weekend and thought I might die from it so had my doctor change me and he almost won't take no for an answer for the Crestor. I went to get the prescription and asked for just 3 days worth and thought if I lived through it I would pick up the rest. Well it was a rough couple of days and then really bad joint pain for a couple of months and then all side effects stopped. Today I got my blood results back and my cholesterol levels are perfect. So if you need something that really works I say ask for it. I was on another one for 2 years and it did nothing for me. cheri

I do not have any but I have read they are very painful? are you dealing with that? cheri

I went to their website and you can register for a card and you do not have to pay more than $50/month for a year. I used mine at Sam's Good with insurance or without. Cheri

I have a friend who thought she was going from Band to Sleeve. The surgeon took out her Band and then she was suppose to wait 5 months. When she went in and he opened her he said her liver had attached itself to her stomach and she was no longer able to have any type of WLS. So I would suggest if you do convert do it in one process. I am not sure how many people this happens to but it is common after any surgery. You can research it. My other friends who converted to Sleeve and one to By-Pass did Band removal and conversion at the same time and they were fine. cheri

Might need a med to take and as you lose weight maybe BP will return to normal and you can stop. cheri

Some bake potatoes are microwaved instead of baked in the oven. Wendy's are mircowaved and most times I can not eat it. baked in the oven really good no problem but slowly eat it. Microwaves make things harder. cheri

Okay I gave in and bought a juicer. I will not be juicing fruit as I like it and will eat it if I have some. But I hate vegetables not all of them but most. I know I need all those nice green and yellow veggies that I would never eat. So I am juicing them just to get the added nutrition. I know we are suppose to eat instead of drink these things but I just can't do it and I seem to be able drink the juice and keep it down. So far spinach, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers all together and 4 or 5 grapes to kill the taste. I takes about 2 cups of each of the greens to get some juice Any downsides you see to this? Cheri

Were you having problems already? I am surprised a surgeon didn't make you try it longer. Did the same surgeon do the surgery? I have had a couple of friends move on to the Sleeve, but I have had no problems with the Band. Good luck on your weightloss journey!! cheri

Ok I just came in from the above Support Group Meeting. I walked in and sat down by someone and after a few minutes of talking to some of the others I turned to a woman and said I do not think I have met you have I? Well it was someone banded who has been to the meeting before and who is active on these boards and I have talked to here before and invited to the meeting before. She had not been to a meeting in a couple of months . . . She looked like a totally different person. Her weight loss had really changed her looks. I felt so bad at first that I did not recognize her. But is was due to her hard work at losing weight. I won't embarrass her by saying her name, but she knows who she is. You look great!! So you who think people can't tell the difference when your losing weight, maybe they don't say anything because you are working so hard losng weight that people just don't know it is you! cheri

I remember going to sleep with my stomach growling! It was terrible but you can make it. I did and so many other people did too. Its not worth risking anything. cheri

If you have had your LapBand 3 years and only lost 1 lb. you have more to worry about than vomiting up liquid. First I find this post hard to believe it is true. Come on you would have already seen your doctor, many, many times. We are people here who are serious about our journey with the band and you are wasting people's time. Send your coworker and e-mail with a link that explains the procedure. So many people are not educated about WLS. Maybe instead of us all getting mad educate someone. You don't need their approval but how nice to educate them. Cheri

I think if you ask a question you have to know you are gonna get all types of answers because we are all different people with our own opinions. If you don't want what people really think I say don't ask. I have never seen people be “evil” sometimes the truth hurts us all! cheri

I just don't understand the reason to lie. People lie too easy. Why? These are suppose to be your friends. I do not lie to my friends. Tell them something that is the truth . . . your trying to be more healthy and that you are gonna stick to it. Cheri

Look across the top and you can click on it. Sometimes I go in there and them go back in a minute to see if they talked when I left and they did. lol cheri

It is weird you go in there and people are in there talking and then they just stop when you come in announced by a door bell. I want to know what they do in there. Once there were 4 people in there and I spoke to each one one at a time and NOTHING!! cheri
