My name is Nicole. I am 30 years old been married 5 years. Our anniversary was Saturday which was the reason for the delay. I have had 5 miscarriages and after the third was diagnosed with diabetes and sent straight to insulin. After the 4th we decided to look into the surgery. My mother passed away 21 months ago of cancer and all she asked was I take care of my body. Hell or high Water I will make this work for me.
I am from middle eastern decent and my husband is a 5 year freshy in the us. So I'm having a little trouble making our ethnic foods fit. But one day at a time.
We had a small kitchen fire a month prior to surgery. We won't be back home til September. Lots of trials and tribulations. But I'm strong ill make it thru!!
I am glad to know each and everyone of you although my husband is super supportive, it's different when you talk to someone who's been thru it.

I've been married 31 yes. Yes, to some extent this is most men. When we got married my mother-in-law had been cleaning his room and doing his laundry... I just took it over. After 31 years his dirty clothes still end up on the floor NEXT to the hamper. He's an auto tech so his pocket crap ends up on my kitchen counter - hose clamps, various tools, nuts and bolts, dirty greasy shop-rags, etc. :-p. When the kids were little and I was going to school nights I would make his dinner, then he would come in and I would go out. Guess how many nights I came home to him still waiting for me to serve his dinner to him?!
I've learned to live with it. He doesn't drink, do drugs, go out with buddies, gamble, or cheat so if that's his only problem I can deal with it. It helps to keep my sense of humor.
And I have to apologize in advance to whichever young girl ends up with my son... because despite my best efforts he is just like his dad! :-)

I have a big pannus or "gut" already.toning abs but it's a lot of skin and fat. Yuk. Ah well I try not to focus on it but I worry how things will be after 80 more pounds. I have to remind myself I did this to be healthier, not to become miss America.

My hubby smoked a turkey it came out soooo good and I roastes brussel sprouts with a little EVOO salt pepper and garlic dinner was so good tonight lol

I received my box from pebulz today. She sent my a bottle of Skinny Water (never heard of it), Hershey's Sugar Free Chocolates (yum!), Russell Stover sugar free strawberry cream chocolates (again, yum!), Jack Link's Teriyaki beef steak tender bites (my fav!), Quest Cravings Protein Peanut Butter cups (never had, but am sure I will love!), Jack Link's Turkey snack stick with cheese (yum!), Extra Dessert Delights gum (yum!), a bottle of Bath and Body Works anti-bacterial hand gel and a 6-pack of Party Lite Apple Blossom candles (smells really good!). Thank you Amanda! You did great!

Kelly (kdgaines) was my pen pal this month. I first want to wish her good luck on her surgery tomorrow and prayers for a quick, easy, event free recovery as well as prayers for her surgeon and care staff.
My box was waiting for me tonight and when I opened the box, I felt so special. I loved the card. She put a note on each item explaining it. There were pens to always write colorfully, stationary to write something special for future pen pals, Protein bars to help when hunger strikes, a head band to keep my hair out of my face while working out, post its to joy down my thoughts, and are you ready?????? She included a SPA KIT to help me relax!!! No one ever thinks of things in my life for "just for me" time. I was blown away by the thoughtfulness!!

less than a week

I'm almost 2months out and down 42 however I have A LOT to lose so I feel like I'm not gonna lose like everyone else either

I got my first ever box of goodies from Rhonda!! I forget her screen name I'm sorry.
But Im getting ready for surgery on Thursday and Rhonda did a great job getting me a puzzle book and pens for the hospital, teas, samples of Protein shakes, and new cup an containers!
I'm so thankful I signed up for this it brightened my day getting a package!

I have been having a terrible few days. I got the flu and my period started all at once. And i am suffering cause the meds aren't good for my pouch. Plus i had extreme stress at work and now my pouch area is burning like it has an ulcer. I am hoping it is just the effect of the meds and will hopefully go away. Anyway, weighed myself this morning, and i am officially 51 pounds lighter from my highest weight!! The most weight I've ever lost
