  4. I keep doing this. I work out, I log my food, I lose weight, come close to my goal and then....I find myslef back at or close to square one.

    I need to take control again. It's my time to fix me!

  6. Hey, hows it going? I am trying to get back on this site more because I need a reality check. I have really been slacking and the fact that I have never gained (havent lost either) seems to have 'helped' me delude myself that things were ok...

  7. OK GF, deep breaths. It's a lifestyle change, and there's no race. After my big unfill this summer (2cc's), I've been hungry...I went back to my old 'I should be able to do this myself now' mode and I'm now wearing 10 new pounds (I've got a Doc visit on the 12th). It's all too easy for us (especially we pro-dieters) to go back to old ways...building that headband is harder than the Band part.

     

    I think WW is a great idea...the new system is easy and it's more teaching you a lifestyle than deprevation and dieting, so I think it works well.

     

    Glad your back so we can support each other through all this! Let me know how I can help! ((hugs))

    The only bad thing about this is that I have a family of 6 and she, 1. I don't want to cook twice!

    We just started this just this last week. I guess I'll work with this for a while before I try to expand the recipes and make it for everyone.

     

    One good thing is that I've stayed under 200 pounds after gaining again, not far from it mind you but I'm under.

     

    If I go by what I truly want to weigh...I need to lose 50 pounds...as I write this it seems like such a small amount to lose, heck as I work it out on a calculator it even gets smaller, If I lose 4 pounds a month, I can reach my goal in a year. Sounds easy right!? Looks to be a "reachable goal"!

    Thanks for being there, sorry it's took me so long to see this.

    I'm lost, becoming an emotional eater again, losing my family support, did I say "I'm lost" yet...oh ya, I did.

     

    I'm working w/my mom to cook up meals that will help us out.

    But that's a chore; cooking (but not in my own kitchen) and dealing with my mom...most days it's good but others...

     

    We talked about joining a local company called Dream Dinners but felt that we could do it ourself.

    We've taken out our WW cookbooks and are going to cook our way through them.

    Trying to stick with the "points system" that they have.

    I've had these too. Feels REALLY bad and would last what seemed for ever. I haven't had it since the start of the year. I just thought it was food related. It ususally would come up in the middle of the night. Keep us posted.

    Still Here But...

    I'm still here but haven't had the will to "be on top fo things". Family, holidays, death....you name it it's been here and some of it is still here. I've been able to maintain!! Starting logging once...need to get back into that. I know that it helps to realize what you are eating and when. Had to drop my ever loving Zumba class due to cost but I found another. Just need to sign up for it now. Need to put it back into my schedule! Keep up the good work everyone!

  14. Hello BG, been in away for a while. Got your post today and OMG you look good!!!

    I've been at a stand still since the holidays. Just can't seem to get my act together to get back on track.

    I was working out by doing Zumba and then they go and raise the prices...so now I'm looking for another class. I think I found a class but it's at a gym and now I just need to GET MY ACT TOGETHER and sign up.

  15. Hi everyone, I'd like to join the group if I may. I am pre-op right now, just went to orientation on Sat and will be faxing over all paper work to get started for authorization this week. I am stiil flip flopping on having lap-band or RY bi-pass. If you had to do it again and had a choice would it still be the Lap-Band? I am located in the South Bay area of San Diego (imperial beach area). I work during the day M - F is there any way we can have meetings once in a while either in the evening or on a weekend morning so those of us who work a 9-5er can join?
