  1. hi Alison

I am so sorry to hear that news about your Mum, god bless her. She sounds like she is a real trooper and will fight on regardless. Like you said it is not invasive (thank goodness) so her life is safe, hope they can do some good things after the op to make her feel whole again.

I have my op booked for friday pm. Will be glad to get some answers after that.

I am feeling remarkably okay, considering.

Hope to see you in chat soon

    thanks for your thoughts

    Penny

  2. Hiya Alison

Glad you are feeling better. I think being banded is a bit like childbirth, painful but soon forgotten!

I saw the surgeon Wednesday who told me she was going on holiday so would try and pass me ontl another surgeon to take the lump out, was well pissed off............ she could not tell me who or when it might happen.

I contacted my SIL who is a Dr and she arranged a private CT scan fr me at the Nuffield Hospital in Newcastle. I had that scan on Saturday morning. Today thye hospital rang to say they will do my pre-op assessment tomorrow with a view to haveing the biopsy on friday. Hope it all goes to plan. Swine flu is slowing things up here so hope the surgeon and his team stay flu free.

I cannot get onto chat either, grrrh. really frustrating isn't it.

Take care and do not over do things.

Hopefully we will get back into chat soon.

    Thanks for your kind thoughts

    Penny
