I've had lots of troubles with my band too! I just have to be confident in my own abilities to make it work. We can do this!!!! I just took off all of the 15 lbs that I gained back, and now I'm back in the zone and on track. It is totally all about the food. If they could only band my brain......

Hey Carrie! It's been a long time! How are you? How is your weight loss? I'm down 100 lbs, but keep fluctuating about 10 lbs either way. It's frustrating and definately a struggle. Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing! Hopefully well!

Glad to hear that everything is going so well for you! Thats wonderful! You probably saw Dr. Meguid or Dr. Harriet. They are just great too! Actually, Dr. Meguid probably assisted Hawasli on your surgery. They always assist one another whenever possible. Yes, they usually take awhile. When I go I usually take off the whole afternoon. My advice on that is to get in good with the office staff. If they like you, they will put you at the best times! I go back on the 28th. What about you?

Hello, I am so sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I have been terrible at logging on here. I just went to Dr. Hawasli today for a small fill. I hope that you like hime. Sometimes he is a bit tough on his patients, but it's love. Come to our bariatric support group meetings! They are on the first Wednesday of every month at the Bethel church located on Little Mack at 10 1/2 mile.

You asked how my life changed? Well.....

-I fit into an airplane seat without any problem at all!

-I got into a bathing suit without even caring about what others thought and didn't avoid the camera.

-I exercise all of the time and I love it for once in my life!

-I go out into public without thinking that everyone is looking at "the fat person" (me!).

-My outside appearace is beginning to match how the person inside feels!

Those are just a few examples. How about you?

Thanks lady! I hope that everything is going well with you still. Hows the weight loss going? This is tough, but before I got this done I decided that I would dedicate this entire year to losing. I don't think that I look any different. I think I will put up new pics when I lose 50. It seems like so far away though!

Hey! Things are going well. I am down 34 pounds overall, but have no restriction either. I have to wait until August 24th to get my fill. I am really sticking to the 800 cal/day plan like its my job! It's hard, but it has to be worth it in the long run. Also, just started eating "real" food on Tuesday and got on the scale yesterday for the first time in 5 days. The damn thing told me that I gained 1.3 pounds! I was so upset. Apparently it's because I'm retaining water or something. Everyone keeps reassuring me that it will go away though! Let me know how your fill goes!

Hey Jeremy! Nice to meet you as well! I didn't see this post until today after you left one on mine. Things are going well, I see the doc tomorrow bc of some "drainage". Sick I know, but I guess there is no modesty or shame here really if we have all been through it. When were you banded? Hows the losing going? I have to get on my Wii Fit for them to yell at me and tell me that I am obese and then praise me for losing weight! It cracks me up. Pretty good work out though. TTYL, Take care, Meredith

Hows it going? I'm doing the liquid now, and today is day 6. I have surgery a week from friday and I am getting kinda nervous. I hope that everything is going really well for you. I'm curious to find out how this is for you?

That is fantastic!!!! I am so happy for you! Oh, I am super excited too! I think that after I found out my date is when I just got a little nervous. I think thats normal though for anyone. I am so glad that you are doing well and back to your normal self. I'm going to the support group meeting tonight if your interested.

OMG! I am so annoyed! Apparently my chart is still in dictation, so the woman cannot schedule anything yet, nor can she call the insurance company. Definately frustrating! Did you get your surgery or is it this thurs? I was just thinking about you today!

Hey! My appt went well, except for the woman that schedules the surgery dates was on vacation until wednesday. So annoying! So, I have to wait until then to set it up! Everyone at the office told me that it will probably be scheduled for the first tuesday in June. Good luck with everything!

You know that the sleeve sounded good!!!! Haha! Apparently ins co.s won't pay for the sleeve unless your bmi is 50 or more, so it's not even an option. KIT ~Meredith

Hey Carrie! It was great to meet you yesterday! I went to my dr appt today and the lady (Nancy from last night) that schedules everything is out of town until Wednesday!!!! Frustrating! Anyhow, hopefully we can attend meetings every month. Good luck with your surgery! ~Meredith
