elcee got a reaction from DaisyChainOz in Could i smoke after 1 month ?
Why have an op to make yourself healthier and then wreck it by resuming the death sticks again? Stroke, heart disease, diabetes , cancer , is it worth it?

elcee got a reaction from Bastian in Psychotherapy for revision seeking alcoholics
The alcohol is likely causing the GERD. Can you try a12 step program like AA? See a counsellor that can help you with your issues and alternative ways to deal with them. You have been through a lot, you need to look after your health.

elcee got a reaction from amithistrose in Best Non-invasive TX for Wrinkles/Lines on Face & Neck
I don’t think there is a non invasive option other than using filters when taking selfies! The only thing that will really work is some form of face lift.
But I would be incredibly happy if someone can prove me wrong.

elcee got a reaction from FluffyChix in Lap Band Slipped... Not sure what to do next
Generally a sleeve after a band is not recommended because of the extremely high risk of severe reflux. Also former band patients do not do well with a sleeve as they are both only restrictive procedures. A lot of surgeons will recommend an RNY as it has both restrictive and malabsorption components and a much lower risk of reflux.
I went band to bypass last Jan and couldn’t be happier. All excess weight list, diet much healthier and no more stuck episodes.

elcee got a reaction from JRT Mom in Revision Surgery Scheduled
I was revised on 1 surgery. Life with an RNY is so much easier than with a band. I don’t get stuck and I can eatlots of good healthy foods. I just have to be really careful with sugar but that is a good thing

elcee got a reaction from FluffyChix in 10 years post-op - weight gain question
It might be time to consider a revision. It has been discovered that bands have a limited lifespan and that there are very few that continue doing what they were designed to do after approx 10 years. They also do a lot of unseen damage.

Girlfriend. You've just described a slippery slope. You are seeking it preferentially. And it's lighting up your brain like heroine.
When a food does that to me, I flag it and red light it.

elcee got a reaction from FluffyChix in This should be Fun CUBA
You are there for a week,I am sure whatever food they have it will be fine. Just keep the portions small and focus on Proteins first.

Im sure the food is no more unhealthy than in other countries such as the USA!

elcee got a reaction from JessLess in I have another question
I would do whatever you feel comfortable with. If you can’t have full on sex there are plenty of other ways of achieving satisfaction, get creative and experiment. Use some toys............

elcee got a reaction from 🌱VeGan❤️HeArT🌱 in Can't stop losing weight
I have just run your numbers through a BMI calc ( yes I know some people hate them) and according to that your BMI is 21.1 which is still well within the healthy range. Therefore I wouldn’t stress too much at this point.
I would suggest adding back in healthy fats. Things likes nuts, seeds and avocados. Also use higher fat versions of dairy.
I often think that people worry that they are too skinny when they are in fact healthy because these days we are more used to seeing overweight people .

elcee got a reaction from DaisyChainOz in Just diet and exercise. WOW! Never considered that.
The people that annoy me are the ones that think losing weight should be easy but they can’t kick their cigarette habit. And they don’t see the irony!

elcee got a reaction from Mary_Berry_213 in Hypoglycemia after surgery???
3 meals per day and 2 or 3 planned healthy Snacks so you are not going too long without food. Also avoid high carb and sugary foods as these cause reactive hypoglycaemia. If you do get a drop you need to manage it the same way as when you are diabetic. Something to bring your levels up quickly and yes that might be juice followed by something healthy to keep it stable. A small quantity of juice followed by something like a banana or whole meal crackers with Protein should help.

elcee got a reaction from jg7979 in No F#$ckin BMI Way
So many people think they will look too thin at normal weight because being overweight is so normal that we have forgotten what normal weight should look like.
