  1. Happy 39th Birthday Le-Le!

  2. Hi Destined! Good to see you are still doing good. I'm about to start working out at LA Fitness since it is getting warm now! Surprisingly I've lost the last 25 lbs without working out. I know this isn't the norm so I feel really blessed.

    Fabulous February Bandsters check in

Hi Juls Journey, I hit my anni Feb 27th. To date I have lost 48 lbs. I have 30 more to go for my goal. The other day I went to old Navy and was so shocked that I could fit a medium in shirts and large in the cargo shorts and cute little linen dress. Linen doesn't give so you know that is a big deal for me. I don't regret at all my decision to have this surgery. This was probably the best decision I've made in a LOOOONNG time.
  4. Hi Le-Le

I see we have somethings in common. I too used Dr. Hart as my surgeon and I reside nearby in McDonough. I am looking for a buddy to workout with and share some recipes with for a lifelong commitment of successful weight loss. I am a member of LA Fitness and can go to all gyms even the one in Conyers if interested.

Inri09 60lbs is great! You are going in the right direction. I'm going slow too only 36 lbs compared to what I've seen in others. I had a low BMI to start so I knew from the beginning it would be slow. I know that in another 6-8 months I will more than likely reach my first goal. I'm not depressed or disappointed at all because I keep thinking I have NEVER lost this much weight at one time and not gain it back. I'm so happy that I'm in a 14 from a 18/20. My short turn goal for next 3 months is to get to a size 12 comfortable. I too had a prob with PB'ing when I got around 4cc. I really had to slow down when I ate. It's funny because when I go out to eat with my friends the waitress always ask if I'm okay with my food because 75% is still on my plate when my friends plates are clean. I ALWAYS take home a doggie bag. I'm hoping of our fellow February bansters are doing well. Stay in touch!

    Fabulous February Bandsters check in

I was banded on 2/27 of this year. I finally got under the 200s this week. Total weight loss 37 lbs. I feel great. Coworkers and family are totally amazed that I've lost weight and NOT gain it back which was so uncommon for me. I'm hoping that I lose another 20 lbs between now an anniversary date. I'm at 7.4CC with a 10CC band. This month I'm in my green zone as I've lost 6 lbs since last visit.

Catemc1 I too have a slight case of diarrhea. Initially I was very constipated. I think this was a side effect from the pain medicine which BTW I consummed ALL. I have always had pain pills left from previous dental procedures or muscle spasms however this go round I took the medicine every 4 hrs faithfully after the surgery. This is day 6 and I feel really great. On small problem is the 'catch' that I have in my neck. I'm not sure if this is from the surgery or from sleeping improperly. It's really weird. Yesterday while at soccer practice with my daughter I walked around the field a few times. It was so refreshing. Today I went to the doctors office to purchase some Protein shake (they have a really good brand) and asked the nurse could I weigh myself - I'm 12 lbs lighter. I was so excited! We all will feel better day by day. Just think this time next year if we continue with the motivation of today, we will be a few lbs at our goal. Or at least I WILL!!!!!

Hi all, This is day 2 after surgery. Hard time sleeping last night. I'm having some serious issues with gas that won't come out. My fiance is on the way to the store. This is the most uncomfortable feeling. Other than that I took a shower last night so I feel like a new woman!!! Lisa-R hope your surgery went well. BTW I'm a Lisa too! Lisa-S :-)

Hi all, today was my big day! After the surgery I felt like I had been hit by a MAC TRUCK. Now I'm feeling better; tolerance and pain level is about a 6. I'm very excited right now and ready to exercise surprisingly. My sister and her husband are competing with me and my fiance in a 'biggest loser' contest. They already feel the disadvantage because of my surgery but I told them that should motivate them even more.

I too am scheduled on the 27th at 10 a.m. A bit nervous however ready to get the surgery over with! I am funding my own surgery - or shall I say my fiance is funding it. I told him that the pregnancy of our child put me in this situation now he has to help. LOL
  13. that there is a forum dedicated to lap-band participants. I will be banded this Friday at 10 a.m. I've been reading several post prior to finally deciding to go forth with this surgery. I have learned from alot from those members who have recently been banded and those who have been banded for a while. Much of my decision was based on the members candid discussions of the benefits as well as the difficulties with the band. I look forward to participating in healthy and motivating discussions on how to continue this journey to weight loss.
