  1. I took a lock with me and locked those things in my suitcase while I was in surgery. You are given a private room. I went alone also & was a band to sleeve revision. I had no worries & felt completely safe.

I'm in the same boat. My weight loss has stopped since I hit 188. Scales haven't moved in almost 6 weeks.

You look fabulous!!! Can you give us a little insight as to what you're doing? Calories, carbs, & exercise?
  5. I have been taking the Enspira multivitamin from Dr. Ortiz. I tried ordering more, but they are out of stock. What multivitamins are y'all taking?

    beyond furious with Humana

Check with your insurance plan. Most have a maximum out of pocket. Mine is $7,000 then my insurance pays the remaining balance at 100%.
  7. Wow!!!! You look amazing!!! Great work. I was wondering if you had any close friends or family tell you that you're too skinny, you need to stop losing weight, or other negative comments? If so, how did you deal with those?

    Hi guys!

I went solo. My surgery was 11/21. I had a band to sleeve revision. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
  9. I had my band to sleeve revision all at one time with Dr. Ariel Ortiz st Obesity Control Center.
  10. I went alone. Had my surgery on Nov. 21st. I brought a combination lock for my suitcase & locked it before I went into surgery. I removed some clothing so my purse would fit. In the hotel rooms there is a safe in each room.

    what am I missing?

Check with your insurance. They nsy not require you to get a referral. If not, contact the endocrinologist you choose and ask them if they require a referral. A lot of them will not. You may not need your PCP. I have hypothyroidism & my PCP would only run the TSH. My level was 2.1, but I had every classic symptom. I found an endocrinologist that ran extensive testing. He said not everybody's "normal" range is the same. My endo was my life saver.
  12. FYI...I had my surgery on 11/21. I emailed them for my medical records on 12/2. Had not heard anything so I emailed them again today and copied Lori. I received my medical records by email today. Gloria said what took so long was getting the doctors to translate it to English.

Nov 2013 Sleevers Progress So Far...

I was sleeved on 11/21 and started pureed today. So far I've been able to eat 1/2 of a scrambled egg this morning and about a cup of tuna salad for lunch. I lost 10lbs pre-op and love lost 11lbs since surgery for s total of 21lbs. Went back to work last week and feel great.
  14. Healthbound1, I was there the week before Thanksgiving & several ladies tried buying the post op package while there & they didn't have it in the clinic. They were told they needed to purchase from the website so you may want to call & check.

    Occ Surgery Question

Just got back from there. No. The nutritionist will way you when she calls you back to discuss the diet. You can allow your mom to go back or she can wait in the lobby. It's your choice. Good luck. I went by myself.
