You're doing great, and I'm glad to hear that your blood pressure was so good that you no longer need the medication. . . Keep on truckin' ! ! !

Thank you so very much. Luckily, we are almost done, and he'll be home soon. We're both really excited about the homecoming. This week seems to be dragging by, but hopefully once today is over, it will be better. In other news, school starts soon for Caysen. I'm excited, but the days are going to be lonely I can get a schedule down. I plan on volunteering at his school, and I joined meetup.com. I joined a ladie's day out group, and they get together every week for a movie, lunch or coffee. It'll be fun to get out and meet new people.

Something Else is Missing...
Tiffykins replied to I Can and I Will's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had that feeling of relief when I had my surgery. I was so thankful to have the band out of my body, and to have the sleeve completed. Graphical Tickers and Trackers: Weight Loss, Trying To Conceive, Pregnancy... is where I got my ticker ! ! ! Welcome to the board, and I look forward to hearing more of your progress. -
Gastric Bypass Surgery Complete ;-)
Tiffykins replied to Lisa B's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey Lisa, I was just thinking about you last week. I'm so glad all is going well. Stay in touch, and keep us updated on your progress. . . -
YAY, I'm excited for you. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
-
I'm so glad to hear from you ! ! ! Everyday gets a little better, and great job on the walking.
-
I'm in there now, but won't be on long. I have to get on a normal sleep schedule. I can't stand this sleeping the mornings away. . .

Judy - The greek yogurt has a completely different consistency and taste. I add Splenda to the plain flavor, and have been able to tolerate it pretty well. I can't wait for you to get your sleeve.
-
I'll email you a copy of the message. I was literally shocked when I got it. I would share it here, but she is having the sleeve, and I've told her about this site. Even though she said she didn't care about anyone else's experience and didn't a forum for information. So, I don't want to air all of the dirty laundry here.
-
My Wal-Mart doesn't carry any of the greek yogurts either. I have to go to Publix to get them. I like the Fage brand, and will check to see if Publix has this brand of yogurt the next I go up there.

I got a Myspace message today from 1 of my 2 friends down here ending our friendship. It has to be the most immature, and juvenile event I've dealt with in the last decade. It hurts, but at the same time I can't fix it. I haven't decided if I should be pissed off or sad over it. The worse part is that John and her husband are not only friends, but they are colleagues, and work together. It's just been a weird day emotionally. Health wise not much change. I ate today without being sick which is a huge improvement, and tomorrow we're cleaning house.

Introduction (New Beginning)
Tiffykins replied to nouveau-debut's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome to the board. . . I look forward to hearing more on your progress. -
They told me the reason for the acryllic nails to be removed is because of the little finger thing they use to monitor your O2 level. I had my surgery at a military hospital, so it may be a little old school, but it's procedure so it has to be followed. My toenails are so stained from years of polish that it wouldn't of helped them at all.
-
I am so glad to hear everything went great for you. I swear those first couple weeks of sipping is the worst, but rest assured it does get better.

I'm in there ! ! !

I hope the sleep meds work Daisy. Today was not a good day. I was hurting, and nothing tasted good nor sounded good today. I need a mental health day, just a break from everything.
-
It wasn't a requirement, but I did because it was just obvious to me that I needed to not use my frilly, girly body washes and lotions. I did have to remove my acryllic nails, and toenail polish.

How to talk to your PCP?
Tiffykins replied to learned2bskinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am so glad you were able to get a RX for the nausea. I hope the Zofran works as well for you as it has for me. I'm really glad the appointment went well for you. -

I love this idea as well because I am 2 months out, and I can eat 2-4oz depending on what I am eating. I think about a year from now will I really be able to eat somewhat normal. Because, 3 -4 bites of a chicken breast is just not "normal". -
John was able to email yesterday. All is well there, comm was down due to a sandstorm. YAY YAY thank you all for the support and encouragement. We don't have much longer to go until his return. I think I'm getting antsy. Helen - I hope you start feeling better. I know how exhausting it is feeling sick, or just not being close to 100%. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Judy- I will definitely keep you and your family in my prayers.

Chat time ! ! !

Ohhhhhhhhh Daisy, I hate to hear you had a bad day. That is really strange, I dry heaved yesterday before my appointment. . . When do you see your doctor for labs and hopefully some meds for nausea.
