Yes, I would think in your situation that surgery could only help. Have you checked into a spinal cord stimulator? I've heard great things about them. There is a group called surviving chronic pain in Facebook, you can ask what others have done in your situation. Best of luck!

Myself, I would contact the person directly and offer your support. I would only say that I was told that you're not able to est solids and have lost a tremendous amount of weight and could I help you. Maybe he needs a bariatric friend. Good luck!!

Yesterday. I guess I’m going to have chubby cheeks, no matter how thin I get.

So my hair is falling out sooo badly. Just started and thought it wasn’t going to happen to me being that it’s so much later than expected. Plus it seems almost oilier (sp?) than normal so holding off on washing it hasn’t been an option. I’m trying this stuff now. Next I’ll get highlights and get some of the length off. friend of mine took my picture at the football game last night and my only concern was my hair! I wonder why it only started falling out in the last couple of weeks? So strange ...

I hear you about the clothes. Even though I'm still 263, I enjoy wearing clothes so much more now. Looking forward to hopefully getting to where you are👏🎉🤞

I just went through our pantry and pulled out all the types of junk food that are triggers for me. I put them on the counter and told my husband and kids I cannot have them around, that they need to throw them away, lock them up, or hide them from me.
I am one year post sleeve surgery. I'm pretty close to being at goal. I'm very proud of how far I've come and I actually like what I see in the mirror now.
However, over the past few weeks my old bad habits have returned, like eating junk food when bored or for any number of reasons. I'm still logging everything, even the junk food, so I've watched my calorie intake go from an average of 1100 up to between 1500-2100. No surprise that my pants are starting to feel tight! I know the honeymoon period is over for me and I'm so scared of regain!
I scoured a lot of posts here on BaristricPal and was reminded of how common regain is. But I also read a lot of successful stories. Some things that jumped out were (1) keep logging food (2) keep focusing on Protein and Water (3) get rid of the junk food in the house! I've been doing the first two but this morning I got out of bed, went straight to the pantry and started pulling out all the crap. I told my husband I have a food addiction and he and the kids need to keep that stuff away from me!!
Hopefully I can right this ship. Right now. Thanks for listening.

Sorry, not sure how to reply except this way. Down 75 pounds. I'm so embarrassed to post this, but is therapy. I've never been one to post pictures, so this is out of my comfort zone. Was camping in the second picture so no makeup. Never want to go back to being that heavy again. I feel a 100x better!!

Omg, yes! I was absolutely terrified of the same thing and I've had probably 10 surgeries.
I bawled in front of my family, PA, surgeon and the nurses. They were all so helpful and caring.
My suggestion is to ask if you can take some kind of anti-anxiety medication before surgery to help keep you relaxed. I should have asked if I could have done that myself.

Today we walked around Victoria.

This isn’t anything spectacular, but I saw this tree on my walk today. I have no idea what kind it is, but I would love one in my yard!

From today’s hikes. There was a suspension bridge on the 2nd hike. And more swimming. I have trouble not jumping in when I see a nice spot.

Yes, I drank the same soapy liquid. I was one of the worst things ever I've had to do. They found microscopic bubbles and were worried I had a leak so they did the upper gi and said they didn't see a leak.

GOAL!!!!! I am so excited! Can hardly believe it. Still feel that 5 more pounds off would be good, so new goal is 144, It has been 40 years since I have been below 150 and I feel so good. The most amazing thing is to have so much energy and NO JOINT PAIN. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement in this journey thus far.
PS: So now I have a new problem. Looks like I just got stuck on a saguaro cactus! OUCH! (My ticker.)

I met up with a friend yesterday. She's seen pics of skinny me and saw me three months or so ago... and I was standing right in front of her and she still didn't see me! I could see her scanning around looking for me and I'm like 'umm, hi? I'm right here!' [emoji23]
