    February 2019 weight loss buds

3+ years. Wow! I've never achieved the weight-loss my doctor predicted I would lose. I'm disappointed in myself because I've cheated and not stuck to the plan. I admit I am a foodaholic. I still have a lot of restriction, but have taken to drinking sugary drinks. I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow to discuss if I should have a revision. I'm 255 and my lowest was 240. My surgeon thought I would get to 180. I'm embarrassed to see him tomorrow. Has anyone else done a revision? My dr originally wanted me to do the DS and I said no, so I just have the sleeve. I'm probably looking at the same process to get surgery. About 6 months. I'm 57 and feel if I do this surgery it might give me extended life. Hope all of you are doing well in your new life-styles. I'm happy that I've still kept 85 pounds off. 😊

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I'm sorry I have been absent for so long. Today is my 1 year anniversary and I'm so happy that I had this surgery, with no regrets. I haven't lost any weight in 3 months and think I have hit a plateau. Not gaining weight, just not losing. I've lost 97 pounds and am so grateful for that, even I dont lose one more pound. I've had trouble with a upset stomach since shortly after surgery. I had an endoscopy and they said I had mild gastropathy, but nothing to really cause the symptoms. I'm debating on having another surgery to complete the DS, but am going to give it another 6 months. I don't feel ready to make that decision yet. I was walking after surgery and am not doing it anymore, plus I'm sneaking a few bad things, but certainly not what I eating before. Like today I ate a yogurt for breakfast with pumpkin seeds and granola. Lunch was 2 slices of cucumber and cauliflower with 1T ranch made from sour cream and a snack packet of cheese and nuts. I'm in a much better space but still need to be vigilant each day. I would like to say thank you to everyone here for your support. I would also like to thank @sillykitty she posted a reply to a person that solidified my decision to have the sleeve. I have it copied and read it now and then. ❤ here it is below. I agree with you, from this and previous posts, you're not ready. You are focused on what you will give up, instead of what you will gain. No one can make you want your health, weight loss, mobiliy, etc., more than you want a pastry. Hopefully you will get there one day.

    yellow eyes

Definitely see a Dr asap. Yellow eyes can mean kidney problems. Maybe you need fluids? Wishing you all the best!

    MJ use for pain

I would use it as I have pretty severe chronic pain, but I hate smoke. I may check out other forms like the person stated above. Good luck! P.S. I live in a legal state.
  5. I'm considering a revision as well. I'm 8.5 months out and stalling. My Dr reccomend the ds, but I chose the sleeve. Wondering @GreenTealael are you asking about the other surgeries ds/sips because it is a better choice than rny? Good luck on future decisions!

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I'm having my endoscopy tomorrow morning and I'm hoping for the best. I'm still having trouble with stomach upset and lately it seems my restriction is more than before. I seem to feel sick everytime I eat. I will let everyone know tomorrow night🤞

    Head hunger post op!!

Absolutely had the same feelings. I'm eight months post-op and ate a small salad with protein and an egg for lunch. Loving my life!💗

    Water information needed

I was told no less than 48 oz. They pounded that into my head. Even today that is all I get. I love water, but it is hard for me. Good luck!

    spine degeneration and herniation

I had a herniation in my C6, my neck and they wanted to do surgery. I chose to wait and it took a few months or so to get better. Hang in there, I think with time it will get better!💗
  10. I met someone who shared a Dr in the same clinic. I even got to meet her the day of surgery. She is an OR nurse. So cool. Dr Anwar
  11. Great job! I think to some extent eating off plan happens. I recently have had trouble wating some candy. I packed it up and got rid of it. Still after 8 months I still have some bad habits, but I was assertive and got rid if it. Before, I didn't even care. Best wishes on future goals!

    Nauseous feeling all day

I'm sorry I can't be of help, but I have this nausea a lot along with a burning in my stomach. For the longest time I didn't know how to explain it. I'm scheduled for an endoscopy soon and hopefully will get answers. Maybe you should insist on one yourself? I think it would help give you and your Dr. answers. I wish you all the best!

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I will definitely post in here after my endoscopy. I'm hoping for the best, but not sure I could continue to tolerate the upset stomach. It's not burning in my throat, but in my new banana shaped stomach, so a little lower than I had before surgery. I'm 54 and definitely am seeing the jowl lines more predominate and lines in general more. I do have money that I can use for plastics. I would prefer to not spend more than 10k. I for sure need my eyes, lower and upper lids, done and probably tighten my face lol Or maybe I will change my mind and use it for travel and just say ftw!

    UPDATE FROM MY SURGEON

Greentealal has had the sleeve and rny, so I thought that is what she meant. Good luck on your surgery, you are doing great!💯

    Slow down

You're so early to be depressed💗. It is going to come off, I promise you! You are doing great! Don't compare yourself to others. I have lost less than some and more than some and that is OK!

    UPDATE FROM MY SURGEON

Skinny like a banana? That is a sleeve. I think the combo of both is the ds, but I could be wrong? Someone probably knows way more than me.

I wonder if he is doing the ds on you?

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Congrats! You look awesome! I, too, worry about sagging skin. I went from I want my breasts and arms done to oh hell no I need my face done. I can tuck the other spots up. My face is showing lines I never had. I have a long way to go (68 pounds) and I'm afraid I will look scary. I'm having a terrible stomach problem and have an endoscopy on the 5th of November. I'm worried I will need a revision. My stomach burns down lower in my stomach and makes me feel nauseated. I had gerd before surgery, so I'm really scared about this. Bonus, I too feel so much better about myself. I just broke the threshold to just obese. lol But having had had a bmi of 54 I will take it. Way to go February friends!

    problems years later

I have a similar problem. I feel the burning sensation in my stomach & fell nauseated frequently. I'm scheduled for an endoscopy on Nov 4th and hopefully I will get answers. I'm almost 8 months out. You definitely should consult your Dr. Good luck!
  23. Integrated supplements is sold at Target. It doesn't contain artificial sweeteners. I bought it online in sample sizes. It comes in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. It tasted decent, however after surgery I could not tolerate whey at all. I drank fairlie milk and high protein yogurt instead. Also, I think optimum nutrition sells a lightly sweetened protein without artificial sweeteners. Good luck!
