  1. Well I was not planning on telling anyone at work that I was getting WLS. However, today my boss came in and he is such a dork! I told him I was going to be off of work for a few days for surgery and he responds "Your getting the gastric bypass!" ...LOL! of all the surgeries in the world he guesses (based on how I look) that I am getting some sort of WLS... So as soon as he blurts this out, all excited, he realizes what he just did and tries to cover by saying "Well...well...I only say that because you should talk to (Fill in the name here) and maybe..." He suddenly breaks off and gets all flustered and says "No you can't talk to her because I don't know if she told me in confidence." LOL...He stuck his foot in his mouth two times in less than a minute.
  2. Ohhh, great laugh HeatherO. My son and I just had a great chuckle over this post. About 7 years ago I lost about 70 lbs and I remember my tailbone and back hip bones hurt for a while. And, for maybe about a month when I lay down my front hip bones stuck out, so, when I slept on my stomach they hurt in the morning too. ...Alas that was the moment my reproductive system decided to work and well you know. Child number 2 came 9 months later.
  3. Yea, but if they know this why aren't the insurance companies signing teens and adults up for WLS at the door?

  6. Keep us posted on you surgery. I am sure all will go well. You know you've lost 35+ lbs on your own and that is very good. Just wait until you get some fills in there and you will reach your goal in no time.
  7. I wanted to add the suggestions from SamieTeacher and ND83180 but my edit botton is missing.....??? I can only edit on my page 2 posts.
  8. Wow Sandra, I thought that was where they took you to recover.... But if they found you had an undiagnosed illness I guess it was a blessing in disguise. What is pheochromocytoma?

    Shahram Salimitari M.D.

I am getting banded by Dr. Tourah at the same office on 1/15/09. I live in the Antelope Valley and was wondering if anyone has used him.
  10. Thank you all for your contributions. If others add more items to the list over the next few days I will try to up date the list above.
  11. Wow, all the suggestions are so great. I now have a shopping list of about 30 items and since I am off on winter break I am going to go shopping today. I will try to make a list of all the items here tonight for others to use. I think this makes a great resource for all to use. Thanks everyone. Tina
  12. Wow, sports bra...I would have never thought of that but you are so right!!! I just bought 3 nice bras and the day I wore the first one it dug into my belly so bad that I said that's it I am finding a doctor asap. You would think after that it would have occurred to me.
  13. I will be banded January 15th.
