A 20% weight loss will kick start ovulation. I was a public health ob nurse and saw this all the time. And a had our last kid when I was 46... yep, right after working my butt off to loose 80 pounds. So now I am 62 with a 40 year old AND a 16 year old.

I have been logging my food, but I haven't been as consistent as I need to be. I am going to look back at the sparks people app. I use to go to the website a lot back in the day, and I am gonna see if I can get some food ideas there. I haven't had any chocolate, and I think I should put some dark chocolate dove squares in the car. I know once I get back into my workouts, I will see my of a chance in my body and that will inspire me to go harder. Let's continue to encourage one another.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to me. I plan to maintain my workouts. More so to make sure that I am consistent. I think that is one of the main reasons I am on this see-saw. I am trying to work on being consistent with logging my food on my fitness pal. And I will do better to focus on my NSV. Thanks so much.

I agree, agree! I must admit, this process has been slow first me, but I am doing way better than I every did with the band. I know that I dont handle stress well, so I have to work hard to find balance, but I always do. And I would recommend this journey.

Hey everyone! I haven't checked in in a while. I have been struggling, snacking too much and not seeing a lot if real movement on the scale other than gain 3 loose 2. I have been swinging with the name numbers for 3 weeks. Since today is the beginning of a new month, I have to do things differently. So my goal is to focus more exercise and counting my Protein. Oh and being sure to meet my Water intake goal. I pray this month is better than the last. I have also had a whole lot of stress that doesn't help me to stay on track. Life is never promised to be easy, but I wish things would be smoother than they are......

Hey people! Its been a minute since i have posted. I was sleeved on September 19th, and I have only lost 35. But i have looked at this journey as a blessing. I am 35 less than i have been in a long time, and i know this will get better if I keep working at it. Yesterday I started the 5 day pouch test. I know this is what I need to get back on track. The best is yet to come for me.

That's what I am going through. It would be nice to 3 pounds. I haven't seen my doctor because of my crazy job, so i want to loose as much as I can for me and to show my surgeon I am doing what I need to. Honestly these last 2 weeks I haven't been consistent with my water in take nor working out. I went to the gym 3 times this week, but I hadn't been there in nearly 2 weeks. So I have got to find a way to get my work outs in more consistently. How is your carb intake? I find that keeping the carbs low helps to get you out of the stall. So this weekend it's all about no starches and low carbs. I hope to break through this stall.
    Keep looking up.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I am measuring my food. I can have potatoes, because I am just coming off the soft food recommendation. I am not stuffing myself, when I am done I don't feel over done, just done. I am not eating til the point that I am in pain, but I can eat more than two bites to be full. I can't say that I felt that long. I will stay that I don't get the full signal as fast as I should. I think that has a lot to do with transitioning from band to sleeve. I will also say that this was not easy for me to share, but I want to get help now. I am not out of control or anything. I haven't gained, but I do have questions.
I appreciate everyone that took the time not to just read the comments, but to respond. I am readjusting. I won't say going back to the basics, cause I am still there I am doing Protein first, but I haven't been drinking my Protein much these last days. I guess I will continue to work on doing better. I will get the measuring tools out and not just do it all in my mind.

    Hello good people!
I'm so excited to find some folks that can relate to me. I have been trying for more than 2 year to have my revision from the band to the sleeve. I was sleeved in late 2008. I started off good, but I never lost more than 60, and that was a fight. I realize that although any surgery is just a tool and the work comes from the person, I realize that I need more help that I thought. So I am scheduled for the 19th. I was initially scheduled for the 12th, but I think I need more time to mentally prepare myself. I was just told I was approved, and then I was told to just let then know when I am ready. Soooooo....... now you might feel some of my apprehension. I know this is my dream, I'm just nervous. I want to do well. I know that the journey with the sleeve is completely different. I just need some encouragement and understanding from some people that know just what I am going through. Thanks in advance

I feel the same way about the food. I am trying to just do better to shut myself off. I don't know if I am eating too fast or what. Sometimes I give myself more because I feel like I can eat it. However, I will be more mindful because I don't want my weight to continue to be an issue, so i have to do my part. I am full. Not stuff, and I know that is ideal

Measure your food intake then. I use 4 oz ramekins to put my food in, and if I became full or its empty, I stop eating. I do this so I don't overeat, because I know I would be tempted otherwise. That's how I became overweight in the first place Good luck!

    I agree with @@kimpossible
Eat your Protein first! However, if you are still hungry after that, have a vegetable. Carbs, like potatoes should be the last thing consumed. I'm not an ideal WLS patient, but I try to follow this rule. Also, kudos for no drinking with your meal. I downloaded a timer to make sure I wait 45 minutes after eating to drink. It also reminds me to eat if it's been more than 3 hours. It's called Bariatric Timer.

From what you posted switch it around, eat your Protein first then your carbs. You won't have enough room for the carbs. You need the protein more than ever.

Well, I don't think we should be eating until we are so full we feel stuffed. I try to eat slow enough that I feel my restriction kick in. At that point I now realize I also feel satisfied. I stop. I have gone over that and I get that horrible pain in my chest. I know now to avoid that!

Its wonderful to eat to a point of satisfied without feeling over stuffed or stuck. I hated that stuck feeling. I could never eat the foods that were good for me. I was often so frustrated that I would end up eating something that I knew was not good for me just to have something. I will be one month tomorrow. I am adjusting to my sleeve. I feel like I can really eat, and that is because I have healed at a rapid rate. But I will say that even though I can be satisfied from 5 to 7 bites, my sleeve won't allow me to do more than I even did with the band. I tend to always take my time. I never want to over do it. I love being content and seeing so much food still left on my plate. Last weekend was great. I didn't eat the bread or salad. I waited for my meal. Had a little under half of my food, and left the rest at the restaurant. Now the old me, would have been thinking about wasting my money. I just want to eat until content and let that be that.
Often I use to go visit my now husband in Spain. The one thing I learned that they don't do is take food away. They eat all that they can, and whatever is left stays. They don't over feed themselves just to take all of their food away. They enjoy what they have, and then keep it moving. That is my new perspective on eating out. Stay encouraged. I am always here if you have questions. Honestly, I struggle with seeing that someone sent me a quote. So you can also message me.

foods that "slide" down easily your pouch (i.e chips)...foods that turn to mush usually slide right out of the pouch and into the intestines fairly easy always giving the feeling of hunger. Slider foods fool you into thinking you can eat more...if you focus on your Proteins first you will feel full sooner and fuller longer. Hope this helps!
