Oh I also use light ranch or blue cheese dressing instead of mayo sometimes.

    Starting Over

I am starting over as well. I had the Realize band placed in April 09. I lost a total of 83 pounds. I was doing very well; following all the rules. Once I was at a good/comfortable/nice looking weight I got complacent. I was able to maintain my loss even with my complacency. However, at the end of last year I started experiencing some reflux. At first I didnt think it was a big deal. Then it began coming up while I was asleep. Finally, in January I got an small unfill. I think he took out about 1cc. After that it was all good. Except my bad eating had caught up with me. So, now I have gained exactly 20 lbs. from my lowest weight. I was exercising very regularly for months earlier this year but due to finances have started having to do so at home. I dont know about you all but it's much harder to get off the couch and do it at home. I just know it's time for the scale to stop going up and start going back down. I am doing the 5 day pouch test beginning Sunday and I am ready for my reboot!! I am having a fill on the 18th. I cant wait to report back that all 20 of those lbs have gone and that my mind is back in the right place!

    Choking In My Sleep

I had this exact problem a few months back. A tiny unfill cured it immediately.

  8. Hi Christine! yes we do all get back into the old routine at some point. The important thing is to get back on track. What you were experiencing is normal. A lot of people dont lose significantly in the beginning. I was too tight once and had to get unfilled. It's the best thing you can do for your band. Throwing up isnt good for it and can lead to slippage. Congrats on the 10 lbs. I want to be just like you!
  9. Thanks for your response... Yes, actually I did get the fill. I had already had two unfills since my last fill. The second time they took .5 cc's out. So, yesterday she put .3 cc's back in. I feel fine since. I realized last night that the reflux is probably due to the high potency Iron supplements I'm on for my anemia. iron supplements are known for causing gastric problems. I called her office and left a message for her to call me today. Maybe we can come up with something to replace them with.
  10. I went in today for a fill. I havent had one in exactly a year. My doc showed me on the fluroscope where I was having a bit of reflux. The barium would go down but some of it would pop back up and then go down. Not high enough that I feel it though. She told me to stay on liquids for 4 days instead of the usual two. I should have asked her why I had it and more importantly what I can do to get rid of it. I told her that on the rare occasion I have heartburn I chew a pepcid and she said that's fine. Today was a horrid day in Atlanta as we had frozen highways and streets last night. Everyone was late to work at the hospital and she wasn’t in her normally mid paced routine. She is an excellent dr and I have a lot of trust in her, but I wonder if she should have said more regarding the reflux. Why I didn’t ask could be attributed to the same reasons: b/c they were running hours behind seeing me, I was running hours behind getting to work. So I rushed out and didn’t think about it until I was driving. Have any of your docs seen reflux that you couldn’t feel, and what did you do to correct it?
  11. Hey guys, Ok I had my last fill exactly a year ago...the week before Christmas. I ended up getting two unfills; one the next week and the other a few months ago. I have since gained 14 lbs. I'm so disappointed. I am going for a fill tomorrow morning. I really need to get my head in the game also. I have picked up a bad sweets habit as well. I know that I can do it, because I have done it before. So, tomorrow I begin anew and I will be a bandster again! I hope everyone is doing well. New Years Resolution: live like a bandster!!
  12. Band _Groupie - Wow we are in the exact same boat. I had to have an unfill two months ago and I am now up 11 pounds from my lowest weight. I am also watching myself and doing my best this week (and next). If I have not started to lose again, I'll go in for a very small fill. I havent been on LBT in a long time. It's my weight gain that brought me back. Here's hoping you and I both start to see the scale moving down!

    Food makes me sick (literally)

Wow you know now that you mention it...I am currently fighting a bacterial infection after a breast reduction surgery. I have been dealing with it for about a month now. Maybe the nausea is just now kicking in. I have an appointment with my doc on Wednesday. I'll ask about it then if it's still a problem. I just managed to eat a piece of toast with no problems. I hope it just goes away on it's own.
  14. I'm having a problem. For the last two days anything I eat makes me nauseous. After two or three bites of any food I am feeling sick. Today I have had four spoons of oatmeal, a pack of crackers, and three spoons of activia yogurt. I have no idea what could be the problem, but it's starting to scare me. Has anyone ever had this problem. Thanks for your input.

    Swimwear to cover thigh sag!

Thanks everyone. Jachut, thanks for the compliment! You're right all of us do have something we dont like about ourselves. I am just going to buy what I want. I did find a really cute mesh cover up. It's sexy and not too big and mu-mu-ish. I am very happy with my success I guess I was just hoping not to have the dreaded saggy thigh syndrome. However, I will enjoy this swim season no matter what!
