  1. I am in the same boat. I thought I was the only one who has had issues losing pounds. But what I have discovered is that my size is changing. I have lost inches in all areas not just pounds.

    Mental breakdown

It so sucks!! Every little thing made me cry. Same with my husband. We had a very long chat after I calmed down and we both understand that there is a huge learning curve going on. So glad to know that this is "normal " and that it does get better!

    Mental breakdown

I am 5 days post sleeve and everything has been moving along well. Until yesterday that is. I had a full on breakdown. Uncontrollable crying, taking everything out on my hubs, who has only been 100% amazing. Is this normal? Am I going crazy? I've not had any issues with intake or keeping things down it's just every little thing makes me ball like a little baby. Anyone else experience this?

    SURGERY SNAG

It was very very tempting. Especally since we live in NY and oh the food there is lol. I cried a LOT yesterday simply because I was so frustrated and not sure what was going on and what comes next. But thankfully the staff was so supportive and amazing that when I left, I was in a great place. Thank you for your hugs!!! I appreciate it. !!!
  7. Yesterday was my surgery date. I got to the hospital early, got all registered and up to the pre op room. Got my gown on and IV in. Was given all meds and shot in the belly and was resting peacefully waiting on my turn. Got moved to the OR holding area. I was next in line to go into the OR. The anesthesiologist was doing his thing when he got the results of my potassium level. At my PST it was 2.9 so I was given potassium meds for 2x a day for 3 days. When he got the recheck of my levels the potassium was at 2.8. 3.0 is the cutoff for safety. Surgery was canceled. I cried and cried and cried. BUT my amazing surgeon and anesthesiologist both said "when we see this happen, it's the man upstairs way of saying not today". And then I was ok with it. Upset, but ok. It will be rescheduled in the next 2-3 weeks, but man after all that the let down was huge. I wanted to eat everything in site, but I did not. I was told it was ok to eat small amounts this weekend and restart the liquids on Monday. So I ate scrambled eggs and had OJ. THIS IS JUST A SETBACK NOT A BRICK WALL! I will have this done and it will be amazing!!! Thanks for listening to my issues :)

    Any April Surgery Dates?

Thank you. Yesterday was better. I got up and pulled my big girl britches up and got moving. Hurt like fire but I had to do it.

    Any April Surgery Dates?

This coming Thursday the 27th for the sleeve. Last night by far was the worst for me physically & mentally. Had a complete breakdown. My potassium is way low, so my entire body hurts & I have fibromyalgia. So they started me on medication to bring my potassium level up. Now I just have to figure out how to get out of this fibro flare. I know this is temporary and I will get better but man it was a tough night!
