Any low sugar Greek yogurt (I like siggis, two good, oikos triple zero), two good smoothies, bel gioso individual cheeses, cottage cheese cups, individual nut packs, Whisps, Chomps, hilo chips, egg bites, Protein One bars. I freeze fairlife Protein Drinks mixed with 2 tbsp of sugar free pudding. Then mix in lily’s chocolate chips. Turns out delicious!

I like chipotle! It’s $5 for either a quesadilla or taco and you get a mini bag of chips with it and a drink! Great bang for your buck.

    vsg2410 got a reaction from Therese22 in Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first
I was on vacation and needed a strapless bra for my outfit - the bra that I packed with me was a 44DD and it was literally falling off of me, I even tried stuffing it and putting a sports bra over it but it was wayyyy too big. I borrowed someone’s with a 36 band and it was tight but it worked! I couldn’t tell you the last time I was able to borrow someone’s piece of clothing and have it actually fit!

hey, I'm really happy you replied to this. I was so eager to hop on & give my 2 cents on the topic, since I never get notifs from this site it was kinda a lil reminder. I checked the date on the post & that's when I connected the dots - it was MY post 😭😅 its been so long. I'm 6+ years post op.

I'm trying to make friends with the person who wrote this post. I love her, miss her, and am very happy for her. she's still with me, though she is no longer me. I talk to this world as if I'm talking TO her.
(not in a delusional way that she is alive, but energetically I talk to people as if they were also that size. regardless. this sound super weird but it makes sense to me)

babe, you got sliced on Aug 16, 2017 around 10am. ever since then, life has twisted and turned so much down the rocky road. you'd never believe where you've been, what you've seen, and yet they (I) am sitting in the same bed, in the same position, where you also used to lay.
    let's hang out. 💞

Not really. When it was really bad I drank Gatorade zero or fit daily. Now it’s the worst when I get up from laying down so I make sure to sit on the edge of the bed/couch for a minute or two before standing up.

Often when you stall you do need to up your calories, for a day or two! I’d definitely follow your dietitians recommendations. I also get positional lightheadedness - I have not been doing weights for this reason but am able to tolerate stretching and cardio including walking and jogging. It might be something to consider!

I’m 25 years old and just got my sleeve in November. I have no regrets thus far. Like others mentioned, the first few weeks were ROUGH so it’s important to have support - whether it be friends, family, therapist.

I would follow your surgeons recommendations if they have them, mine recommended Celebrate. Unfortunately, any Multivitamin that was chewable or tablet form led to extreme nausea so I switched to gummy vitamins and my surgeon approved them. For Calcium I use Bariatric Fusion calcium chews in caramel flavor, and Adora calcium chocolate for a daily treat. I would recommend not buying in bulk until you know what works for you!

I ate a lot of Turkey chili and just chewed it up really well. I also had cottage cheese with marinara sauce heated up for less than 30 seconds. I ate mainly foods that I didn’t actually have to physically purée. Canned tuna and chicken, canned veggies like carrots and peas, scrambled eggs, yogurt. It’s probably the toughest phase!

Almost at 5 months and officially 50 lbs to goal weight. Have been following my exercise regime and feel more toned. Clothes that I had saved from many years ago are loose, I may need new clothes for my vacation next month or will use safety pins to wait it out until mid summer. Feeling confident and energetic so booked a few activities that I wouldn't be willing to do prior to surgery. Increased my calorie a little bit since I'm lifting heavier this week but stay within 800 calories.

Hydration, walking, and Protein. That’s pretty much all you need to know! Have a variety of sugar free drinks, broth, and popsicles at home, every ounce counts and your body needs it! Some people (including myself) struggle with drinking plain Water right after surgery so having the variety definitely helped. My surgeon wanted two 20 minute walks a day as soon as I went home. When the weather was bad I went to Walmart, Kohl’s, or target to do some laps so that I could get 20 minutes of walking in. Protein Shakes and yogurt were about all I had for the first two weeks, so maybe pick out a few different kinds so that it doesn’t get monotonous. Best of luck!!

Thanks everyone. They actually told me to drink 2 ounces of kefir in the morning (to do an intestinal flora reset) and switch my Vitamins with Iron, to before bed. The kefir has been a life changer. I feel a lot better. The nausea still comes but not as bad and it's a bit later in the day. They also told me to drink more fluids because sometimes when we need fluids we might feel nauseous. This has definitely been a journey and of course it's on going. Thanks again.

vsg2410 reacted to catwoman7 in How did you break a stall?
yep - stick to your plan, stay off the scale, and wait it out. Stalls are a normal part of the weight loss process. I think of it was your body having to stop and recalibrate once in awhile. As long as you're sticking to your plan, the stall will break and you'll be on your way again.

Hydrate hydrate hydrate! It’s harder than I anticipated so make sure you have a variety of options to get fluids in - popsicles, broth, SF Gatorade, etc. Good luck!

vsg2410 reacted to Smanky in When will I see results?
Give yourself space and time to heal. It's 3 weeks. At the size most of us are/were at surgery, weight loss ISN'T visible until months after. I know it's hard, but try to block out the voices of others, it's not helpful. Concentrate on healing, be patient, focus on the plan and distract yourself where possible. You'll be experiencing non-scale-victories frequently, so enjoy those as they come.
I honestly didn't get any "you're looking smaller" comments until a good 3/4 months after surgery. I was 130kg and wore my weight from head to toe, so even a ten kilogram loss wasn't a big visual change at that stage.

I second Travel RN! You can find those alternatives later on as you go. One of the biggest things my dietitian has focus on is whole food eating - so staying away from those alternatives as primary nutrition. Every office is different but the biggest thing is to stick to your plan!
