  1. I felt pain for about a week after, specifically around the incision next to my belly button since that's where they pulled the stomach out from & the muscle soreness was pretty crazy. I wonder if that's what your feeling?
  2. How long has it been since your surgery? If you're months out I definitely reccomend taking protein bars with you, like Quest Bars or protein snacks like The Only Bean Crunchy Roasted Edamame beans. They're easy to carry, convenient, your protein intake will be taken care of!

    Day 2 of pre-op diet

I wish you luck! These pre-op & liquid post op diets are the hardest part. Once you finish this I swear you feel like you can conquer anything lol

    Hi I’m new here!

Welcome & congrats on getting your surgery date! Hope this forum is able to help you through your journey
  5. I took the essentials but the ONE mistake I made was taking pj pants that fit me properly. Take you biggest comfiest pants you have because the gas WILL make your stomach bigger & your pants will fit tighter. The ride home was uncomfortable so definitely look for your comfiest pants!

    How's your tummy feeling?
  7. I HIT MY GOAL WEIGHT! (Well, actually surpassed it) My goal weight was 135 & I woke up weighing 134! It's been 8 months since my surgery

    Weight Regain at 3 Weeks

The woosh effect is very real!
  9. I've lost 159lbs & I PROMISE you, loose skin while being thinner is better than being obese ANYDAY
  10. A very nice insulated water bottle would be great! One that he can keep near his bed at all times as a reminder to drink water (I suggest one with a pour cap, without a straw)

    Weight stall 7 days PO

You are still healing, you're most likley still dealing with swelling & your body will hold onto water at random times. This is very normal & I suggest lowering your expectations a bit because you will not be losing daily forever! Just stick to your plan & you WILL lose!
  12. Wow glad it's nothing too serious thatd you'd need even more surgery for! Hopefully the painkillers give you some relief & the pain goes away on its own

    Exercise after surgery

I got my surgery Sept 2022 & started working out 3 months later but I was up on my fluids & protein intake. But you should definitely prioritize working on your protein & water intake. It will help the pounds shed off just as much as working out would & you wouldn't feel as weak.
  14. Great question bc I've been wondering about this too! These answers so far have been helpful

    Pre-op diet

Yeah not gonna lie, pre-op & post op liquid diet was the hardest part of the whole process, but it's so worth it!
  18. How is your calorie intake looking? I can't imagine you're able to eat too much early on but are you eating calorie dense foods? But this is most likley a stall. You absolutely want to stick to your plan from here on out as you will break it as long as you're staying commited. Remember, calories in, calories out will ALWAYS be true! & no, you did not ruin your surgery! A few off days will not cause you to stop losing forever. Just get back on track & take advantage of this honeymoon stage. Stay consistent!

    Best protein bar?

Barebell protein bars taste the absolute Best taste wise but they're a little bit higher in cals (200+) Quest makes good protein bars too (love the Double Chocolate chunk bar) Built Bars have the BEST macros but they're just ok in terms of taste. I still like them though!
  21. Those numbers are incredible! Congrats!
  22. I'm 4lbs away from hitting my goal of 135! Maybe I'll make a new goal after that too? Who knows. The sky is the limit right now 😊
  23. I officially weigh in the 130's!! 🎊🎉✨
  24. I totally understand how you feel. Only my parents & brother know & I haven't told anykne else about my surgery. I've relied on places like this site, tiktok & YouTube comments to talk about it. Granted it's not the same as having real life friends but having this place as an outlet helps A LOT. I hope we're able to help somewhat 💜

    SLOWER WEIGHT LOSS

Oh yeah month 2 was much slower for me than month 1. It was difficult but people reassured me it was normal & it helped make me feel better. Stick to the plan & you WILL lose!
