After reading other people's experiences here when they had their psych evaluations, I wasn't nervous at all. I went in and took a test of about 300 questions which took me about a half hour. Then later I met with the doctor and he asked some questions about my lifestyle, work, family, history of anxiety etc. I was in there about 10 minutes and he passed me! On to my last two dietician appointments and hopefully I will get a surgery date for me bypass!

Good morning!
I am still early in my pre-op journey. I have had my meeting with the nutritionist and surgeon but now waiting for my evaluaion with the psychologist. I guess my question is, what are they looking for primarily? I don't have bulimia or any other eating disorder. Is this what they are looking for?

I met with my surgeon a couple weeks ago. I thought I had my mind made up that I was going to do the sleeve but he told me with my hiatal hernia and Gerd that he would only do a gastric bypass. The more I read the posts on here I agree that this is the best option for me.
I got my psychologist appt and got some paperwork in the mail to fill out. Many questions about my eating habits. What I eat if I am eating uncontrollably etc. Then in the middle of it a random question if I like to waterski! I laughed out loud! Then later in the questionaire it asked if I like to downhill snow ski at a fast speed. I know they are wondering, if I am a binge eater, bulimic, anorexic etc but what are the speed questions for? Adreline junkie?
