  1. Everything's ok with the lapband, until it isn't. I think my body is trying to start the winter fat symptoms!

I keep getting these fall recipes in my inbox that look so delicious but they're so unhealthy. Lots of cream, butter, flour and short on protein. I think the visuals of these Fall and Holiday meals is a appetite stimulant.

  3. 133 lbs gone forever!!! Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE my band?!

  4. Frustrated, defeated, tired of trying! Not a good place :(

So what's up? Why defeated? Starting over can be difficult but try to treat this like it's a lifetime change and you don't need to get there in a few months. It doesn't need to be so hard if you realize how much time you have to accomplish just short goals.

  5. After 5 months of no fill, I'm literally having a panic attack in drs, office, thinking in my mind I've gained all my weight back.

      2muchfun

That's awesome, no weight gain in months of no fluid in your band!

I went to Marsh Valley High back in the 60's. After every wrestling match me and my buddy would head for Poky and Tasty Treet for Space Burgers. I can't wait for some kind of reunion or some event that lures me back so I can gobble just one of those little boogers down.

So, it's not an app you use? It's just the safari browser? You should be able to see the reply window at the bottom of the page? Or, at the top of the page is a button that says "write a reply"? Is this what you're asking or are you trying to start a new topic? If you're trying to start a new topic, just go to the forums page and find the specific forum you want to start a new topic and click on "Start New Topic"? If this doesn't work for you, just ask Alex Brecher

  10. Looking Forward To Better Health W/Lap Band

    1. 2muchfun

That's the best way to look at this. It's sure great to feel comfortable in our own skin but living better, with less pain and living longer is the best gift WLS can give.

  12. 40 lbs down, 8 weeks post-op! next goal: 255, to get my BMI under 40 :)

  13. Anyone else feel like the stomach area has these little pinchers pinching away, or feels like tiny muscle spasms?

    1. 2muchfun

      2muchfun

I didn't. Could be the sutures holding your lower stomach in place over the band? Or, could be just what you said, little muscle spasms. If it's painful you should call your surgeon?

  14. How often do you weigh yourself?

    1. 2muchfun

      2muchfun

GoWalking, I'm looking forward to maintenance so I can escape the scale myself. But as long as I'm trying to lose, I'd rather not find out a week later I gained 5 lbs.

  15. How often do you weigh yourself?

Twice a day. How can you know what foods affect your weight if you wait a week?

So, is there a reason? Are you in a stall, a funk, gaining weight?

  17. Mistress Band seems to be having a really bad case of PMS this month. I think liquids are called for until she calms down

So, you think it's a little stress due to your situation? I went in 10 days ago and got a fill. Took 4 days before it settled in and now I'm drinking some of my breakfasts. I don't stress much but then I have this I don't give a shit attitude so I got that going for me ;o) I tried Catfishe's shake/coconut milk/peanut butter/banana flurry/blizzard last week and that was so good. Should be good for your mistress too?

  20. Hungry already... should I be scared?!

    1. 2muchfun

      2muchfun

It's possible but your band won't work it's magic till it's adjusted properly so no need to be scared.

Head hunger is a mental state of mind and should be on any therapists radar.

  23. I finally weight less than my husband!!!

    1. 2muchfun

      2muchfun

When I was first banded, I told my wife I wanted to get down to 145. Major flinch on her part. "Well, you'll weigh less than me"? She immediately started eating healthy with me and now is down to 133. BTW-145 I'll never be but I got a major flinch out of my old lady!! ;op

  24. Frustrated!!!!

    1. 2muchfun

      2muchfun

I agree you should up your calorie consumption. But, get rid of the processed foods. No protein bars, eat eggs, ham, oatmeal. No turkey franks. Again, eat real food like fresh chicken, beef, fish, deli turkey, veggies. Too many people treat this like a diet. It's not. It's eating healthy and finding the right band adjustment that makes you feel satisfied for 4 hours without snacking.

If you have a hard time with meats and veggies, what are you eating? I know for me, it took 9 months to figure out that I was still eating too fast and not chewing enough. It's a hard lesson to learn after 60+ years of over indulgence. What's a typical daily meal plan for you? And how many calories? Exercise? What does the doctor and nutritionist say?
