    Hello all,
I just discover this forum, it is great to have a group of people sharing experiences, I found that no matter how much I thought I read about the surgery, it is different when you are living it. I had my surgery on 2/3/22 my weight was 253 I was loosing weight fast but yesterday and today I slowed down, I am 235 today but not complaining. I am having issues drinking the recommended amount of Water and since today I can have non Clear Liquids, I will have some oatmeal for Breakfast, I am excited, the complication so far is that maybe one of the medicines gave me an allergy my face was all red and it was painful but that is going away now, I started working from home yesterday and sitting for long periods hurts my incisions I have to remember to stand up more often, but that was one of the contributing factors to my weigh.
Good luck to all of you who are going trough this, a friend of mine who had the same surgery keeps reminding me that it will get better soon.

Wow! Lots of activity as we are all getting our procedures done! I wanted to update everyone.

I had the VSG done in Mexico on 2/3/22. This was the 1st time doing Medical Tourism like this and I felt safe.

I was picked up from the San Diego airport at 7:15am and took a short ride across the boarder. My blood work was done, spoke to cardiologist, EKG, X-rays, and surgery team. I had my VSG same day (around 1ish). Protocol for this hospital is 2 nights at the hospital and 1 at a nearby hotel. While most of my surgery siblings (5 of us total per day) were up and walking hours after, I was not. I struggled a bit more. In fact, I nearly slept the entire 2 nights I was in the hospital. We were then taken to the hotel for the last night. I ordered the liquids “Bariatric tray” from room service but didn’t really touch them. The one this I made 100% sure I did was drink Water. Again, while some of my surgery siblings explored Tijuana, I slept.

I was taken back to the San Diego airport for my flight home on Sunday. I asked the airport for a wheelchair (this was a must for me!!!) hubby picked me up after my short flight back to Az.

My plan was to take Mon and Tuesday off, returning to work Wednesday. I spent Monday sleeping and Tuesday becoming more and more dehydrated all day long. Wednesday I located an IV hydration office and felt like a new woman.

A few things I have learned about my body in this process:
When I need to rest, my body will force it.
    Dehydration is NO joking matter.
My pouch does not like cold liquids (took me a bit to figure this out, I am stubborn)
Pain is a sign, listen to it.

I am starting to get my full amount of liquids in now 😁 and am moving on to adding Protein. . . Slowly.

Good luck to you! I'm scheduled for the sleeve on Feb 23rd in LA. I haven't lost any weight but a couple of pounds. I lose 1/2 pound a month. Ugh. Love the picture of Huskys. I have a German Sheppard, my son has half husky, half GS beautiful dog.

My surgery date is February 24th, Gastric Bypass in Chicago. Finally after years 10 years of lurking, missed appts(self sabotage), and insurance changes, I made it. Just waiting to find out the date to start my liquid diet and then it really gets real. I’m getting excited but almost feel like I am trying not to be so excited because anything can happen. At this point I’m trying to tell myself it’s really about to happen and think positive. I guess with all the previous issues I’m more nervous about a cancellation or something else wacky going on and some how my surgery getting postpone. A special hello to all my surgery twins!!! We’re almost to the losers bench!

Hey all! I'm also scheduled for Feb 3rd and I'm getting the sleeve here in the Los Angeles area. I started this process back in August, and now that I'm weeks away, it's a little overwhelming. I'm mostly really excited, so I'll focus on that emotion as much as possible.
