I am in the exact same boat. I am not eating enough and definitely not getting enough Protein. I know it sounds gross, but I made chili for my family and blended some for me. It was really good and I had no issues eating it at 26 days post op.

Alcohol ended up becoming a major obstacle to my loss. My social life involved regular beer drinking. After getting sleeved I knew I was not supposed to drink carbonated beverages, however my desire to hang out with my friends caused me to learn how to overcome that obstacle and drink beer. I think this is the major reason I never hit my weight loss goal and then gained some back.
What worked for me recently was to use a time restricted feeding program along with a Keto based diet. I ate mostly Keto and only had two meals, lunch at Noon and dinner around 5-6pm. This came from, the insulin control diet programs recommended by Dr. Jason Fung. Given that my sleeve kept me from feeling really hungry it worked well and I dropped the 20 pounds I gained during the pandemic restrictions.
Now I have major issues with hiatal hernia and GERD, so a revision to RNY is scheduled for tomorrow. I've decided since I have been given a second chance I am going to make the most of it. I have determined that alcohol no longer has a place in my life, and neither do Snacks and slider foods.

Everyone's journey is different. You will hear all kinds of stories form different people. I'm almost 5 years post op and I can tell you I eat what ever I want. It does take time to process certain foods the first few months to a year. But you will be able to eat. I had no problem with ground beef/ turkey ect. Steak took a little time to bring back in. Even now I only eat it once in a while. My biggest issue was with lettuce* go figure. You will eat less but you will not be deprived at all. Your body lets you know when to stop. Listen to your body. My start weight was 355lb and I'm 140lb today! This surgery is not for everyone but it was the best decision I ever made for myself. It will be a transition and you will feel regret but it passes very quickly when you start seeing your progress and adapting to your life style change. Eat slowly, listen to your body and the biggest key to success....drink your Protein (get creative with it). 5 years out and I still drink my protein in my coffee every morning as a Meal Replacement for Breakfast. Good luck to you! You got this!!

Mine is definitely an allergic reaction to something....just keeping clean and dry and ice packs work best for itchiness

Same here. We have to just give our bodies some grace. It probably is in shock and thinks it is starving. We just have to stay away from sugar and be patient. It will come off!

    Hello everyone!
I had my revision surgery on 01/19/2022. I went from lap band to sleeve. Today officially marks 2 weeks post-surgery and I have lost 20 lbs! I dealt with severe nausea, but it's much better now. I feel good overall. Just a bit tired still. Happy to have found this place! ♥

🤦‍♀️This was meant to be a search term in the forum, not a comment!-- was curious if there was an approved recipe and/or vegetarian alternative options if the family was ever ordering out. Accidentally posted the word in chat-- don't know HT delete. Sorry!!

I’m on day 5 post op. Everything seems to be going pretty well. My Dr has moved me to phase 2 eating, creamy Soups, yogurts ith fruit flavor no pieces of fruit. Also soft boiled egg To go along with my Protein Shakes. I started my bariatric Vitamins B12 dissolveable tablet, calcium citrate 1000mg chewable(not so great) and a multi that looks like a starburst candy!!!! So far I have been walking abouT 1.5-2 miles each morning( not today 12in snow) I find it easier to drink while on my walk rather than sitting down. I have to say that I am not hungry at all. I know I have to eat which I am doing getting in 60-80g Protein and 64 oz liquids. It’s just weird that I’m not looking to graze in the fridge!!!! Also I am keeping a food journal, times and how much and protein taken in and am also using Baritastic app to track weight and goals and food as well. Might be a little over kill the journal but for now I seem to like it. Just wanted to share my first week with everyone because I’m proud of the work I’m doing!!!!

Hey everyone just stopping by to say I had my surgery today at 10am. I have been in and out of sleep with some pain. My throat is dry as hell and I can’t wait for a sip of Water. I have been gargling though. Waiting to go on my first walk now. Can’t wait to start this new chapter!

Ok doesn’t look like anyones been here for a bit except me lol. I have a question - I’m down 30 pounds and 29.75 inches. Last week I finally broke a stall and went down 3 pounds. Weird thing is I actually should be down 37 inches but gained inches in my biceps and one thigh - weird I know I think it’s lump Fluid because I had the lump nodes removed from that groin as a teenager. I’m 4 weeks one day out. Has anyone else had similar changes in inches? Loosing and regaining? I’m thinking my arms may be muscle because I have been doing some arm weight exercises just 2 pounds. TIA

Wondering how you are doing following surgery? I'm nervous of the pain and dehydration as well. I am only on day 4 of my 8 day pre op diet and I am extremely nauseous from the Protein Shakes. I just keep telling myself that I am going to feel so much better once I lose this 100 lbs that is putting so much pressure on my body and mind. I have been through hard things before. This is going to be a big commitment, but I am doing this for myself.
