  1. Hi all, hoping someone can help shed a little more light as I’m at a loss here. Up until the last three months, I have had no issues - but since, any time in a public setting, I will get sick to my stomach, dizzy, hot, and light headed. Yes, I take my vitamins and follow a good diet my surgeon recommends being a year out. I have an appointment set up with my surgeon however they are leaning towards an anxiety issue. My thing is, I don’t feel anxious? And these episodes have happened in familiar places around familiar people. I’m just at a loss and it’s becoming almost crippling. Any thoughts? 😭
  2. Yes, but not all the time? I think too my worry causes the sour stomach which then spirals me out of control. I'm just hoping to get some answers here soon, but I truly appreciate your insight.
  3. Dumping syndrome; the racing heartrate, cold sweats, looking to see where a bathroom is because I know I'll need it. I've never thrown up, however the nausea is so bad sometimes, I'm down for the count for about an hour or two trying to handle it with Dramamine. I know it's for motion sickness but it tends to help, the nausea anyway. It's become all very overwhelming.
  4. I'm definitely going to give this a try. Maybe I think I'm doing good but I'm not? I have two phone calls into my surgeon but no answer yet. I do go to see him on the 7th of April but I have A LOT of social events between now and then and I'm beyond nervous this mystery ailment is going to ruin things.
  5. I'm honestly afraid to eat or drink because I'm afraid it will throw me into DS. For an example, the other night my brother took us out for dinner. I had one sip of water and it was all downhill from there. But I've never had this issue at home. I'm really open to any and all suggestions, so next time it happens - would gatorade or like a protein bar work?

I never even thought about that, my current protein is Fairlife so, it could be a good possibility! I've never tried the almond/dairy alternative. Thank you for your insight!

Ooh, I didn't think of that. I do enjoy a sugar free pudding at night but not every day. I will start watching what exactly I'm eating. Thank you!

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but is anyone else experiencing bloating after surgery. I mean, I'm nearly a month out and every morning I wake up bloated; it will dissipate after exercise and come back right before bed 😞 It is driving me crazy! Is this normal? What can I do!!! I did NOT experience this with the sleeve. 😩

Does anyone have any recommendations on a chewable/ melt away vitamin that isn't incredibly vomit inducing? Can't swallow a pill until 30 days after surgery and I'm nervous. My first round with a chewable was not good 🤢

    Hello! New here

Best of luck to you! My tip is to ask A LOT of questions. I was afraid to at first, and I regret that. Now I'm suffering horrible GERD and looking to revision from sleeve to bypass as a self-pay patient. 😪 In the end, you will know what is right for you!!! I look forward to your journey!!!
  21. I hope you are doing well! I am also getting revision due to GERD. I have found ZERO relief. Life is miserable.

    April 2022 Surgery Buddies

Hoping and praying to FINALLY get my surgery date for April. A lot of push back since COVID struck up again. Fingers crossed. Congratulations to those who have a date!!! Looking forward to all your journeys!
  23. And here we are, two weeks out and still no surgery date. Again, the constant run around is absolutely mind-blowing. However, surgery has open up to twice a week rather then one surgery a week, so hopeful we can get scheduled for April still. Remaining optimistic but it is definitely starting to get hard 🙄😫
