  1. My surgery was Dec 4. I only stayed one night in the hospital. Was able to get up and walk, no problems. The first couple of days were a blur. Once I got home I almost panicked not knowing what to do, even though I had prepared. I was sore for several days. Still sore, not as bad. Dr did have to repair a hernia that we didn't know about. Now I have occasional cramping, struggle with some nausea, but my zofran takes care of that quickly. Finding myself being a little weak. I think most of this is normal. Follow up with doc Tuesday. Stats: Sw: 256 Surgery date 229 Cw: 219 By the way, I gained about 6 or 7 lbs while in the hospital, so don't let that freak you out!
  2. The same thing happened to me. But I never got a fever and my procedure went on as planned. Fingers crossed, that's super frustrating.
  3. Well, I can honestly say, I thought it would be much worse than it actually was. So happy about that. I'm super sore, but I can handle that! The one thing I'm surprised about is that I am having gerd issues. I had a bypass so that I wouldn't have to deal with that any more. But I guess that's part of the whole deal. Doctor said I would be on my gerd meds for about 3 months.
  4. Day 3 on of 2week liquid diet here. It's not too bad. Today was definitely better. Can't wait for surgery Dec 3.
  5. They didn't even address my sleep apnea, other than to say I'll probably quit having it!
  6. I'll be enjoying bone broth while my family has Thanksgiving dinner! Surgery December 3. 😲

    Weight gain before surgery date!!

Oh no! That has to be frustrating! If you are being good, it should sort itself out! Good luck!
  8. Me too! I'm reading everything I can get my hands on! Mostly the literature they gave me, online, and watching videos!
  9. I'm nervous too! Then excited. Then scared. Ahhhhh. Mostly excited. But there is so much to remember. We shouldn't doubt ourselves so much! We can do this!
  10. I didn't know there was a countdown! I'll have to check it out!
  11. I got my date when I went for my final pre-op appt with my surgeon. He's scheduling 2 months out. Insurance has already approved. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield.
