I felt the same regret the first 2 weeks after surgery. It was really intense and felt like I didn’t care about losing weight anymore. I didn’t even look at the scale, but I could still see my body changing. It is a lot like postpartum in a way, and I am grateful to have a lot of support at home.
Everything is looking a lot better now that I’m doing at least puréed foods, but I still struggle a lot. The past couple have days have been great compared to those 2 really dark weeks.
My care team told me that I will probably experience the stages of grief, and eventually it will get a lot better.

yes missing meals and letting yourself get too hungry is bad. So before I go out, I always bring a high Protein yogurt and cut up veggies or tuna and crackers and eat on the go. Which also eating on the go after surgery is never a good idea! I hope you just hit a stall and keep loosing until you reach you goal weight!!!

Ah yes, the infamous 3 week stall.
I started just thinking of my body 're calibrating' and moving a smidge of fat from here to here, and moving more energy over there. I found that helped a lot with the mental energy worrying about the stall, thinking I had done something wrong, being catastrophic about it etc lol.
I am a just over a year out...and I spend most of the month stalled lol then I lose. So I just think of my body needing a minute to figure out what to do next and get organized and it halts ALL PRODUCTION until it sorts itself out again and starts losing.
    Hope that helps!

I've not lost any more weight since my first weight in at my drs on May 5th. It's hard to knowing most people lost their weight in the first few months after surgery. And here I am at a stall this soon. It's crazy how our bodies are so different to the surgery.

Yeah, everyone defines a stall differently.
Personally I use at least “1 week of consecutive days of non-weight-nor-inches loss” as a definition.
I mean, I could drop a good 2 lbs with a nice poop (i pooped every 3-4 days - sometimes even longer than that - back in weight loss phase, so that made sense) …and yes, I used to weigh myself before and after poops cuz it was fun for me 😂)
What some people consider stalls, others call daily fluctuations. But however you define it, just keep on trucking, and aim to keep the anxiety at bay. Remember: stress (i.e., cortisol) has a positive correlation to weight gain (i.e., increased hunger and over-eating)
    Good Luck! ❤️

Sorry to hear this. I have never had one either but I dont imagine you should feel like this. You need to go to see a doctor who will know if its rough handling or needing antibiotics. Ring somebody.

If it was like something I could avoid I would do it. Like laundry soap or foods... but is it definitely "air" related. haha

Correct. Those two medications are the front line for GERD and work really well.

So I am guessing your main concern is the slowing down of your weight loss? At this point I am going to say its very normal for weight loss to slow down at the 6 month mark ( depending on your start weight of course) so dont worry about that. You do however need to sort your nutrition and gastric problem out. Sort that out then once you are all good there then concentrate on loosing more weight if you need too.

What does your surgeon say? You may have a stricture which can be quite easily repaired. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, inability to eat solid foods, difficulty swallowing, food intolerances.
Contact your medical team as soon as you can. Even if it isn’t a stricture, they need to work out why you are experiencing these issues so something can be done to help you.

no ones business but yours if you get surgery.
surgery is defiantly not the easy way out by any means
I can eat a lot more than i thought i would be able to at 9 months PO
junk food is what you need to avoid and high sugars
I had a sleeve so i cant answer the next question

I have a lululemon jacket that I bought for a trip to nz 13 years ago and it was too tight. I always told myself I would fit it one day and now I do in fact it's loose these days but I still can't wear it cause it's to hot where I live so a trip to somewhere cold where I can wear it along with some beautiful boots would be a great reward for me .

It's normal and it should pass, I hated the smell of cooking meat straight after surgery and a few other things but I happily cook meat now with no problems. It all settles down and gets better with time.

It might be the vaping that's causing the nausea. If you're unwilling to give up cannabis for more than a week, you could try edibles instead and see if that helps.
