    Loosing track!

Just concentrate on being well. I was up and down after surgery too and I still have days where I feel like crap but not covid like symptoms just tired and run down and a bit of nausea. Oh no they let the dragon loose so to speak after 2 years of avoiding it
  3. Of course we did, it part of the reason we were in the position we are in. No self control . Me my last meal was burger 🍔 king along with a few other sneaky treats but in saying that I was at the lower end of the scale my surgeon didn't require me to liquid diet but My dietitian insisted

    Doing it all wrong.

I have a hard time burping sometimes which has a double disappointment for me as i could burp with the best of them before surgery and enjoyed a good loud burp 😀 now they get "stuck" and its really uncomfortable

    Low BMI pre op question

Yes you are nuts!! You asked I gave you an honest answer. Why on earth would you try to keep your bmi above 30 just so you can have an unnecessary surgery with your low bmi. Bloody hell woman surgery is not easy or a quick fix, it's hard and some days just plain horrible. Go see a shrink about your weight/ eating issues. I doubt any surgeon would do you with such a low BMI anyway and if they do I would expect they are very dodgy

    Doing it all wrong.

Don't worry you are not alone a lot of us feel like this, my dietitian said don't worry about calories at this stage as long as you are getting something in, however at this stage I would keep away from coke, maybe when you are 6 weeks out frozen coke might be OK. Maybe try sports drinks or water with disolveable vitamins in it. I lived of KFC mash and gravy during the puree and soft food stage I couldn't stomach anything else

    Revision because of Complications

geez you poor thing, have the drs done anything to investgate whats causing this ? have you gone back to your surgeon and told him/her whats going on ? if you havent please do so asap.
  10. Maybe you have a tummy bug? Probably best to see a dr though. Probiotics might help too

    Do hiccups mean anything?

Isnt it funny how we notice these cues now after surgery. Before surgery I would often get a runny nose and coughing after eating but never put the 2 together I just thought it was the food irritating my throat or something when actually it was my body telling me stop you are full. If only we knew then what we know now.

    Bad days

Just curious how you all get through your bad days where you wake up feeling yuck, dont feel like eating or drinking and just plain sorry for yourself

    Bad days

Thank you for your kind words, living in a small town doesnt make it easy and I dont have many friends here either . Its the type of town that people come and go from quite quickly. I have been waking up with what i guess you would call restless legs. I have fibromyalgia but it was in remission before surgery but it seems to have flared up again this really gets me down because i guess i thought i would feel even better loosing weight but it hasnt been the case yet .

    Bad days

Thank you yes but i think i need to adjust my goal weight as i still have a lot of fat around my belly 😣 but i will get there. My surgeon didnt set me a goal weight. I just worry that a bad day will turn into days its so hot here atm its not pleasant to get outside and being a small town we dont have any malls and such .

    Going back to work

not just water but anything you comsume can cause reflux if you lay down immediatly after consuming it, yes my surgeon told me nothing to eat or drink 3 hours before bed to avoid reflux.
  16. I am not a breakfast person never was sometimes i could go til 2pm without eating. Now i feel like crap if i do that then i start stressing like today 😢so sometimes its just better to eat something even if i dont feel like it but thats hard too
  17. I noticed this too, this weekend I went to a friends cattle station everyone was sweating except me and only when i read your reply did the penny drop. I was thinking oh my fitness hasnt improved enough to sweat ( fit people sweat more apparently) but yep its our new frog bodies
  18. Haha yes!! Thank goddess I live somewhere where the temp is in the high nineties low hundreds most of the time. I did get strange looks when complaining of the cold and putting on a vest coming into summer

    Shoe sizes... aargh!

This weekend i went out to a friends cattle property and thought i will get my old akubra (hat) out which was previously to tight its now to big 🤣🤣🤣 but then i had a chilling thought my ariat boots that I loved but could no longer get my foot in so i sold them would now fit me again too that made me very sad cause i had never seen another pair like them. I should have kept them 😢😢😢

    Disappointed Surgeons

You are doing fine, as long as you are loosing thats the main thing. I was unable to do shakes etc i lived of KFC mash and gravy and kids yoghurt pouches for my first 6 weeks. But you do need to watch your sugar intake but i think at this early stage as long as you get something in and you dont go over board you will be fine.

    Going back to work

I try not to drink before bed or during the night as it can cause reflux. At work you could set yourself a routine like each time you finish a task have a drink, something like that. Have a bottle sitting on your desk too that helps and take sips. Soon enough you will be able to drink more and it all will get easier. But dont stress some days i drink over 2 litres and other days half a litre

Wth have I done to myself panic…

Hi Ellie, i totally understand where you are at, I was the same if not worse. I spent my first 8 weeks curled up on my sisters couch feeling like my life was over. I cried everyday for the first 4 months i was miserable and deeply regretted the surgery. But it does get better i still have my moments but on the whole i am feeling much better. Feel free to reach out to me in pm if you want to vent chat or ask questions. Ps i did get councilling that might be a good option for you too.

    Sad

totally agree, i thought i was going nuts once i realized it was my hormones and sorted them out i feel so much better. very few surgeon address this pre surgery and some dont recognise it post surgery either which is pretty poor considering how common it is. and yes you will be greiving food and going through a major life adjustment. so dont be hard on yourself. get a new theropist ( I had 2) one to address my adjustment disorder once he explained it made total sense. and the other ddressed my excessive worry. I then worked out on my own food was my best friend that i no longer had ..... its does get better even doesnt feel like it will right now...it does trust me i was a mess for the first 5 months

    Hungry all the time

I went through this too, I found drinking more helped. People kept telling me it was head hunger it wasnt my stomach would gurgle and carry on and straight after eating it would feel like an empty pit.
